This was a random find via Google maps, amusingly enough. We got two of the Flower Moon pizzas, which were excellent. Ingredients from the website are: "pomodoro, basil, garlic confit, mozzarella, pecorino, parmesan, gorgonzola." The crust is chewy and crisp, with great texture. The cheese was nice and tart tasting, very good complexity. I love the garlic, as always. The front of house staff was pretty indifferent, but the kitchen staff who delivered the pizza was more engaged and pleasant. Highly recommend their pizza. This was on the cheaper end and it was $15, though. If you want less pricey pizza, I would find another restaurant. Editing this review to add: Returned to Black Moon, after deciding to give it another go. The staff was very nice, the pizza special they had with burrata is INSANE, and they have a lemony lavender drink that's delicious. I feel like the cost was worth it, especially at happy hour. Way better experience.

I am so stoked about this place! I have been wanting to try it and I am SO GLAD we finally did! We got there right before six, and got some tall boy rainiers on Happy Hour ($3!!!!) So fantastic. We then took menus to one of the back door outside tables to look over the food options. The backdoor dining is a vibe - it's 3 wooden tables kind of situated in the parking lot. They built a cute cover and filled it with plants and lights. I'm totally here for this vibe. We ordered the Artichoke dip 10/10, Flower Moon Pizza 134/10, and a Barbeque Chicken One that was on Special 10/10. Honestly....I am still thinking about the Flower Moon pizza. I can't WAIT to come back and enjoy it again. Maybe one to myself. Who knows. Give this place a try! You won't regret it! Come for Happy Hour and stay late. The staff was overly helpful and friendly and we felt very welcomed and taken care of! I will see you again, soon! CHEERS!

If I hadn't randomly looked up bakeries in Boise, just for fun, my husband and I would never have found this wonderful place up in Garden City, not far from downtown. A bakery AND pizzeria AND, apparently, an Anesso (Italian sandwiches) shop. How lucky can we get??? Bonus: the staff is just as amazing as the food. Dine indoors or just sit out back at the picnic tables with your dog. They'll even bring him/her a bowl of cold water with ice cubes in the summer and love on him/her with pets. We were only able to try a few slices of the pepperoni pizza for the Happy Hour (3-6 p.m.) — better than 90 percent of the pizza we've had from here to Seattle, fyi — but we'll be back for more, like the artisanal pizzas, the baked goods (get here before 2 p.m. for the best selection), and maybe an Anesso or two.

A little disappointed with our experience tonight. We ordered a Hunter Moon signature pizza for $20 and added the $5 up-charge for gluten free dough ($25 pizza). Before ordering we saw all the same size pizzas around us in the restaurant and thought that’s enough for 2 people. The menu also only had one price per pizza so naturally assumed all pizzas were the same size. When the pizza came out it was significantly smaller than expected. We received a 10 inch personal pan pizza for my wife and I to share. Apparently the gluten free pizzas are significantly smaller than all the regular crust pizzas. Had we been informed the gluten free signature pizza we were ordering and paying more for ($25) was only a 10 inch personal pan pizza we’d never of ordered it. If you’re not going to advertise the difference in your gluten free pizza size on your menu it should be iterated while ordering at your counter so guests are aware of this difference in size (especially since it’s $5 up-charge for a smaller pizza). Everything else was great and the staff very friendly. I’m only writing this review as...

Very overrated, I really don’t understand why this place is rated so well.

$37 (without tip) for a pizza and salad. The salad had croutons on it that seemed dangerously hard, we could barely bite them. Flavor of the salad was meh. The pizza came out fairly quick, looked very nice but unfortunately the flavor was not great. We had to stop eating it because of how salty it was. The ingredients sounded good, but the ingredients they specifically used were all way too salty.

Then the service was okay. One person was great and helped us, but one of two people helping up front was not helpful and was on their phone a lot of the time. We wanted a box to go and I waited for a few minutes at the register area, watching this person on their phone. I tried to be kind about it and get their attention, but they didn’t seem to care.

Again, I really don’t understand the good reviews for this place. I usually give a place a couple tries before having an opinion, but I don’t plan to try...
