I can't say enough good about this place! I went in specifically for Chick'n and Waffles (I put my gravey from the Rice anf Gravy side on the waffle - that was next level) It was all so good I had to take the Po Boy home for lunch the next day! Her revolving menu keeps me from ordering the same thing over and over, because I could live on her Toona Melts and don't even get me started on the Peach Cobbler. Do not leave without it. The portions are so much more than worth the price and the open seating in the Chow Market makes it easier for people to go get things from other restaurants if you can't talk them into this vegan experience - which you 100% should. Even the most skeptic eater couldn't complain about the Deep Fried Oreos. There is a seperate beer/wine bar in the common area if you are so inclined. I had a pecan pie porter. It really added to the experience. There is lots of parking. It was cash only when I was there, but there is easy access to the ATM, so don't let that stop you. Go! Like now- Go!

I wish I could give this more stars. The food is amazing, it took me back to the amazing food I had living in the south. When I went vegan, I didn't think I would have this good of food again, but it checked boxes I didn't even know I had. The fried chicken had an amazing crisp and the breading was to die for. The coleslaw was cruchy and fresh and absolutely amazing. And the biscuit I had tops any others I've tried. I grew up on baked mac and cheese, and what she served me blew that out of the water. The owner is one of the sweetest ladies I've met. You can taste the love and effort she put into crafting a fantastic meal. Even though I was in a public place, I felt like I was sitting at her dining room table getting served one of the best meals Ive had. Anytime im within an hour of Boise, I will be stopping by. This is a meal that can be loved by anyone, no matter their food restrictions. I couldnt recommend this place more. Its food like this that makes traveling for work away from my family worth it.

I’ve always been skeptical of vegan food, but curious to try it and this was my first time eating it. This place had been recommended by a coworker and they insisted I give it a try. After I ordered to go, I got in my car and opened the Mac & cheese just to taste it. I planned on eating the rest at home. I couldn’t stop eating it and the same with the “chicken” (batter fried mushrooms) and waffles. I never imagined vegan food tasting so good and couldn’t tell the difference between the real thing. The owner was nice and had a calm demeanor even though she was busy doing everything herself. She even gave me a free desert as a first time customer. I will be going back. Highly recommend for food and service!

Mae and Oh Vegan Soul are INCREDIBLE! Her food is so flavorful, complex, and comforting! I feel like most of the time you go out to eat, the vegan food is bland, and it’s a bunch of processed stuff thrown together. This is not that at ALL, and absolutely worth the prices for the effort she puts into everything! It’s homemade, whole foods, that I could not even come close to making at home. I even stocked up with biscuits and gravy for my days off! Even in Boise where great vegan food is difficult to find, Oh Vegan Soul goes above and beyond expectations in larger cities as well. My non-vegan friends devour everything, and are stunned at the quality and flavors. Hopefully this will stay as a staple in our city! Thank you Mae for bringing us joy and delicious food to...
