Domino's Pizza — Restaurant in Gardena

I’m so glad I read all those negative reviews before I ordered the pizza! I was very clear with my instructions, because somebody in their review said that the pizza was really dry and it tasted like cardboard, one person said that they forgot to put cheese on it, or didn’t put enough cheese on it common and most of the people were complaining about the pricing. Yes if you’re used to Papa Johns specials, their prices here at DOMINO’S are over 50% higher, and I can’t understand why they have different prices at different times of the day/night. It’s the same pizza, and the same amount of labour is involved, and the same ingredients are put on the pizza in the same amount no matter what time it is so why are the prices higher after 9:30 pm?

And’ so many people were complaining about the delivery service, even people that only lived a couple of blocks away said that it took over an hour to get a cold yucky pizza delivered. I solved that headache, because I didn’t wanna called yucky pizza delivered to my house, because there seems to be a huge issue with the delivery times, I avoided that bye driving down there was only a few blocks, and I waited in the parking lot for about four minutes, they called me and told me that my pizza was ready, I was so freaked out by all the negative reviews that I just ask is it okay if I take a look at it before I pay you? And it looked fine.but I’m sure it was because I drove out there and waited in the parking lot to get it instead of waiting for some person who can’t read a map to deliver it to me. Q no se puede hacer un un I also didn’t like that they charge you a $5 delivery fee to drive it five blocks away. I know the price of gas has gone up, but they don’t burn a whole gallon of gas going a few blocks.

Which would be okay if it went to the driver, but I don’t think it does, who knows what happens to that...

Estimated time of delivery was 30 to 45 minutes. I ordered around 1:20pm, the updates said my pizza was getting checked for quality at 1:29pm. The next update said that my delivery guy left the store at 1:57pm. I’ve never had bad interactions with Dominos so I thought maybe it was an error in the update system. But still odd since I live less than half a mile away from this location. At 2:20pm I assumed the pizza just wasn’t coming so I called into the Dominos and cancelled the order.

I was respectful, I said clearly that I just don’t want the pizza anymore because it’s been well over an hour over their own estimated delivery time. In my mind, I don’t want to pay $20 for a pizza made an hour ago. The delivery guy still showed up at 2:40 pm and got my grandmother (who doesn’t speak English) to pay him.

And the pizza doesn’t even look ok. It looks like it was made 2 hours ago. Cheese on top is completely dried out and it’s tough as hell. Flip it over and the crust feels like dried out cardboard. My grandmother (who wanted to splurge on pizza for the holiday) couldn’t even finish her piece because it was so tough.

CONCLUSION: This Dominos delivered an old dried up pizza over an hour and a half late and got my elderly non English speaking grandmother to pay them AFTER I HAD CLEARLY CANCELLED THE ORDER 20 MINUTES BEFORE. Look at all the BAD ratings this place has from local guides. DON'T EAT HERE. Unfortunately this is the store that I had to regularly order from. Almost every other time I order they tell me "we don't deliver to you" when they do. I'm 0.8 miles away. I've been hung up on when asking for a manager's name, and treated rudely on several occasions. Today around 2 I was on the phone for 45min. with the manager trying to convince him to deliver food to my family. 3 hungry toddlers waiting..he refused. I reminded him I'm a regular customer..when I told him the location on Crenshaw also said they don't deliver to me, he said "call them and have them call me back" "they can tell me themselves". So that's what I had to do. How unprofessional can you be? Why is it the customers job to figure out dominos confusion. And why would you refuse to take my order for so long.
