So I heard about this place from an LA motovlogger. It sounded interesting and whatever. I come in and they're playing old 90s hip hop. Im not big on nostalgia but the vibes were immaculate.
Tldr: Overall, I couldn't take good pictures because I dug in too fast, but the prices are decent and the food is excellent. Nothing pretentious or posh. Just good food. Lots of sauces.
I got the elote dog and garlic fries. To my surprise they're very reasonably priced, at least for LA. 10 bucks for a signature hot dog, 7 for a big stack of fries with actual garlic on it lmao
The main plate, the dogs, are really exceptional. They're thick and juicy and the toppings taste good quality. However, if you get the lobster roll option for buns, you'll probably need to use the knife and fork they give you. They aren't stingy with the toppings and you'll make a mess.
So why should you drive around town for an expensive hot dog? I mean come on right? Well. The portions are big. The toppings are great, and the fries aren't overpriced and delicious. We had the chili dog and the elote dog, both as a combo with garlic fries and a drink. The soda machine was broken and I said I would take agusa frescas if that was an option, yet we're charged 3.50 on top of each combo charge (make it a combo is 6 dlls and they added 3.50 on top... The fries are 4 dlls). They asked me if I wanted to sub regular hot dog bread for their lobster roll which they recommend and of course another charge. The garlic fries are very garlicky (too much in my opinion but some people love it extra garlicky) the food overall is very salty. The wiener is wrapped in bacon and the beef flavor gets lost with the rest of the ingredients. The restaurant was empty on a Saturday night... I wouldn't go back. I felt ripped off and tye food was mediocre (although the presentation was very...
