I enjoyed my time there, but here are a few things you need to know, in order to prepare your expectations (which in no way is a negative review of the place. The place is clean, the staff nice and helpful, the cats are clearly well taken care of): You need an appointment You need to sign a waiver You are charged according to the amount of time you spend there, and you are responsible for keeping track of your time yourself. It is a small place, so there is not always room to sit, or a cat available to play. Because the time is not booked ahead, the staff may ask you to wait outside for other visitors to leave when they decide to be done. Our visit was 20 mins, 5 of which were spent inside waiting for a spot to sit. The cats were busy (or sleeping) with other patrons, so we waited a bit. Which was fine, as we were just there to get a "cat fix", and didn't have a problem letting cats play with potential adopters, which was more important. Was taken here for an anniversary surprise. And while the actual spot almost seemed hidden away on the second floor. Once you walk in, you’re transported to cat heaven. From playful kittens to grumpy cats. Cushions on the floor to sit on and be more on level with the little cats, as they roam around, buckets for toys in every corner for you to entertain the cats. Enjoy some tea or apple juice while you cat watch and listen to calming music. Meows Rakuen is the best cat cafe in the LA area. It's quaint, has adorable decor, and you can tell that all the cats have such lovely lives in the staff's care. All of the kitties are very friendly and healthy, staff is very nice... Their pricing is by far the best of the other South Bay cat cafes. For only $10 you're in there for 20 minutes, and you can add on from that as much as you want. It's by far the most affordable of the other cat cafes and catered to how long you'd like to stay or are able to.
