If you’re anywhere near the coast and craving incredible seafood with a side of warm, small-town hospitality, look no further than Fisherman’s Korner. We stopped in and were absolutely blown away , not just by the food, but by the whole experience.
We ordered the clam strips, shrimp, and fish, and every single bite was perfection. The clam strips were lightly breaded, perfectly crisp, and not at all chewy like you sometimes get elsewhere. The shrimp were plump and juicy, and the fish was flaky, tender, and cooked just right. You could tell it was fresh , none of that frozen, over-battered stuff here.
And the cocktail sauce? Wow. It wasn’t just an afterthought it was clearly house-made or at least carefully selected. Tangy, zesty, and just the right amount of horseradish heat to wake everything up. We were dunking everything in it and considering asking for a bottle to-go.
Now let’s talk about the staff because honestly, they deserve their own shoutout. Everyone we interacted with was genuinely kind, upbeat, and attentive. No fake smiles or going-through-the-motions here. They treated us like old friends, made sure we had everything we needed, and checked in just enough without hovering. It was the kind of service that makes you want to come back even if the food wasn’t great — except here, the food is great, so it’s the perfect combo.
The atmosphere is laid-back and casual, just what you want from a coastal seafood spot. It’s the kind of place where you feel instantly at ease , and leave feeling full, happy, and already planning your next visit.
We’ll be back for sure and next time, we’re bringing more friends so they can see what all the...
Read moreWe heard from multiple people that this was the best fish and chips place, and a huge sign outside boasts that it is! So, we went in and tried it. Never again! We were so disappointed. We are regular customers at Bell Buoy in seaside, so that's always our comparison and this didn't even come close. I'm pretty easy to please, but don't waste your money here. Go up to seaside and go to bell buoy and you will be so much happier. We spent $16 on one meal here, which was a cod fish and chips basket, no drinks. We got 4 tiny pieces of fish (each about the size of a dorito and thin) that were battered in a panko-like breading and tasted like they had been previously frozen, fries (which I will admit were good), some dry coleslaw and tarter sauce that was more the consistency of ranch. Oh, also soggy garlic bread. I am just really disappointed and wish we would have spent our money at Bell Buoy instead, a much smaller business with friendlier people and better food. And cheaper! For twice as much food that is fresh and actually good, it would have cost us $10. But if you don't want to drive all the way to seaside, just go to the grocery store and buy a frozen box of fish sticks to make at home, because they'll be better than they were at Fishermans Korner and you'll be a...
Read moreI have twice ordered from this cozy, quaint and friendly restaurant. The atmosphere is fun and kitchy, and every bit what one might expect, if one can imagine friendly fishermen coming in to sup and meet with friends, after a full morning, or day on the boat. The restaurant is always busy, crowded and cozy, yet clean, and seemingly always filled with locals, who know where to find friends, a clean kitchen, great food, and great service. They have a wonderful and friendly staff that do an impressive job keeping up with orders. The place often has a small line of people waiting for a table. The counter seats fill up fast too. I give the food and staff 5 stars for efficient prep and service with a smile, delicious and appealing food with flavor, quality and quantity. You will be pleased and satisfied with the portions. If you ask for halibut, you will get the best, fresh halibut! If the seating inside is full, you have the option to order to go, and the option of sitting outside at one of the picnic tables, or you may take a short drive and find a wonderful view point, where you can enjoy your delicious feast next to the sea. There are many beautiful harbor views too. I recommend Fisherman's Korner...
