Charleys Cheesesteaks and Wings — Restaurant in Garland

My family and I LOVE Charley’s, we even used to love coming to this location up until 2-3 months ago. The taste and quality of the steak is not what it used to be, we continued to go thinking it was just change of staff or something (since there is constantly new staff) and would eventually get better but it only got worse. We usually go for dinner (arriving between 7:30-8) and have been told several times upon arrival that they are only doing take out orders (EVEN WHEN ITS 1 HOUR OR MORE BEFORE CLOSING) because they are about to close (THEY CLOSE AT 9)!!! We live over 25-30 minutes away, I am NOT about to drive home and have all our food get cold. As soon as I mention to the staff that I am going to report the situation & ask to speak with the manager, they let the manager know and the manager on shift will usually “ok us to eat there during open hours” but they turn off the drink machine or “throw out the tea and lemonade” in retaliation. I told them I was going to call and report them and have tried calling the establishment several times but everytime I call I get hung up on. Charley’s is my favorite fast food place but I definitely would NOT recommend this location anymore. Unfortunately we just had a similar experience as Charles. Our first visit and the reception was very lacking. My son pointed to the menu picture and asked the young lady taking the order if that was a cheesesteak? (his first time ordering one) She removed her mask to ask What? He repeated himself. Her answer was curt, "We ONLY sell cheesesteak sandwiches". Ok then! - better to educate your customers on the menu than to snap at them for what may seem obvious, perhaps? After we placed our order she turned to the cook and whispered something and they both started laughing, unfortunately it felt towards us. I had an immediate urge to cancel the order but my son says Looks Good! So I let it ride. That was hard. The redeeming qualities were the sandwiches were as ordered, yet the steak had the color of chicken and little spices or seasoning. During the wait I did overhear a staff member asking another seated customer if everything was ok and the customer was happy with her order which made me less apprehensive about this situation. Stopped by here because we just so happen to be in the area. Everything looks good including the signs, decorum & food. But we didn't have a good experience here. Everything is cooked to order, so the food was hot & didn't take long to get. The problems were with the staff & the food. The staff were all teenagers & in their early 20's. The young lady last helped us didn't really seem interested when we asked questions about the menu & this was our 1st time visiting. We were getting our drinks while we heard the staff discussing how they didn't like waiting on people. This is a customer service establishment & you don't like dealing with people? SMH! We got our food & it was hot & really like presentable. But it was BLAND to say the least, because it had no salt or pepper or seasoning of any kind. They won't have to worry about "dealing with people" when it comes to us. We'll find somewhere else that doesn't...
