I am not shocked at all about the bad reviews however My problem is not with the service or the food it is with a ongoing problem with this little manager young man named Jaden who I have contacted corporate about him before constantly arguing with people about this coupon that you guys are giving out this blankly states two signature pieces of chicken when you get to the window he's telling you that you have to get a wing and a breast I'm the type of person you can't give me something in a specifically said something you tell me I got to get something else I've had this problem with him before contact the corporate day let him know he was wrong now all of a sudden this young man has started up again and not just with me arguing with people who's paying their own money telling them that they have to get a certain piece of chicken when using these coupons however I'll contacted corporate again but this time they have you talking through text not a live person or customer service which is bad for service when you have experienced a problem more than once however I had no problem but to communicate with them through this text message when I tell you I haven't received a phone call email or nothing back from these people and my daughter just went to this Popeye's again and evidently this young man has spread the word because he's the manager to the other employees that when people are using these coupons to make them get a certain piece of chicken when it clearly states that you can get two signature pieces of chicken meaning that you can get any two pieces of chicken that you want I'm not understanding why this problem is happening if that's the case you guys need to change the wording on these coupons so that your customers won't be really treated by not just a crew member but managers and then no one is replying to anything this is horrible for service I don't understand how this young man is still a manager like I told them in their email the day that I went in when he was being rude he wasn't even in uniform this man had on black gym pants a white T-shirt and a black Nike jacket how you going to serve me and be rude to me and then you the manager but you not even in uniform please get it together Popeyes at 5724 Broadway in...
Read more10/29/24 Decided to get a family meand drive to Popeye's Rice Restaurant.That's in Garland Texas offer broad view.Since it was close to walmart where i've been shopping , so I went through the drive through to order a family meal, was told to wait on side No, problem. Then the wait time got longer and longer. So the proceeded to enter the store waited at the counter. Watch the manager and crew clean the floors, wipe the cabinets. I asked a young gentleman behind the counter that I'm here to pick up my order because I've been waiting outside for a long time. He proceeds to pack my order.. While waiting I noticed the manager after cleaning and wiping down counters and doing the floors with no gloves takes a bag of food that was sitting on the counter, opens the bag to view each item and touch each item with her hands open the container of mashed potatoes , the biscuits and the large box of chicken. After touching and reviewing each item in the bag, the manager Sara then perceives to place the food that she opened and touched back into the bin To be recycle With the other food. Remember And I stated it before she was cleaning The floors and the cabinets with no gloves!!! Never once step away , washed her hands and put on gloves While dealing with food!!!! So I Ask her loudly what is wrong With the chicken that you have to touch and put it back and Recycle with the other FOOD!! That manager god snappy with me! And proceed to ask her the same thing three times but she has refused to answer and walk away. So here I am now listing and review and complaint! I've already contacted the manager there.He apologized, but still it makes me wonder how long that this female manager has been doing that and also other employees Recycling food after it's been touched by their dirty hands .Do they lead by her- Sara ( store manger) example?? So if you're going to order food from this place. My advice is to go in watch and prepare your food or Or don't even order here or get food here, Cause you never know, someone could be sick and touch your food and recycle it back from the previous order. Read moreVisited a few times since they opened. This location doesn't seem to stay busy like other locations. It makes you wonder if the food they serve is usually fresh. The parking lot stays empty, and the drive thru is similar.
The first time I visited was not too long after they opened. They were ok, but nothing to rave about compared to other decent locations. I waited a while, maybe a year, and tried them again. The food was old, like it had been out for a couple hours; it wasn't hot or crunchy, but rather chewy and dry.
A long while passed again, and I thought, let's see if they have the ghost pepper wings they've been promoting. I was nearby, and there were some cars in the drive thru, so I decided to stop by. I asked if they had the wings, and they said yes. Ordered the 6 wings and a biscuit. Got to the window, and with a smirky smile, the girl informed me "He dropped the wings onto the floor, and he's not making anymore because we're closing in 30 minutes.". I asked why they couldn't grab 6 wings and drop them as it would take what, maybe 10 minutes. She just insisted that "he said" they were about to close.
Very poor customer service. I've worked in the fast food industry before and have closed many nights. I know at certain times you begin to break down some machines and stations, leaving minimal ones open to continue to operate until closing. Further, it's rare that everything is done by the time the store is closed. It wasn't my fault that my order was messed up. Neither was I offered anything else to replace my order so that the store still made a sale. It was as if they were used to providing that level of service and feel it's ok. She expected me to just leave. The less work, the better it seems.
