Chili's Grill & Bar — Restaurant in Garner

If it were possible to not leave a star I would've gone with that option! I used to love this location I'd bring all of my friends to this location due to the above average costumer service and food quality But after last night I don't feel like it's worth going back. My party only consisted of 3 people. We were seated after a reasonable wait. We weren't asked if we wanted a booth or a table. The manager who was very friendly unknowingly sat us down at a dirty table that had food particles on it . We later requested to move to a booth. The waitress took our order for drinks and appetizers she brought out the drinks but forgot the appetizers she stated that the appetizers had been sitting back there for a while and she forgot about it. The party next to us were seated atleast about 15 minutes after us and they had the same waitress. She had their drinks and their appetizers out within 5 minutes, which was before us, we were upset! The entrees came out right before the appetizers so we had a whole bunch of plates crammed up at a booth. The service we received was piss poor. The waitress spent tons of time helping out other tables checking on them every few minutes, doing the things good waitresses should do. But with my party she came around last making us feel like our business wasn't wanted. It definitely takes away from the food when someone has an issue with their food and try to call on another waitress to get our waitress yet she ignores us. I felt awful. I was looking to have a good time, but instead we ended up frowning while everyone surrounding us was smiling. We were the youngest party there 19,21,22. The restaurant has good food there's just a few waitresses they need to get rid of because they lack costumer service skills. Waitresses name was Honey and we've had her multiple times before and never had an issue with her so I really don't know what happened last night. However, we still won't be going back to that location! Its sad that the hosts were more friendly to us than the waitress. The waitress was going out of her way to please other tables laughing and giggling with another table. At times the waitress as well as another waitress and the manager would be at one table laughing with the party of 6. Plus the waitress was in the back gossiping about our party. I guess the bigger your party the more...

Worst food ever. I went in for lunch I ordered a house salad and a half of a grilled chicken bacon Swiss cheese sandwich. Okay when the food came the server totally forgot the house salad I had to remind her twice. when it came...the lettuce..tomato and cucs were over ripe and soggy. The grilled chicken was not cooked completely through the bacon was so shriveled up you couldn't even really taste it the avocado that was on the sandwich was Brown. So I asked the serve if I could get some fresher avocado. She brought me some but it was also Brown. Well after I had eaten a small amount of grilled chicken around the edges that was cooked and eaten a little bit of the side salad that where the lettuce wasn't limp and the Cucumbers weren't so over right that they were soggy I asked to speak to the manager. I explained to the manager that it was pretty sad when a $9 lunch meal the only thing that was satisfactory was the fries that came with it. I explained to her everything I had a complaint about she said oh I'll give you a discount don't worry well when the server brought my bill back she had given me a senior discount of 10%. I would have gotten that anyway because I'm a senior. So I mentioned to the server I said she didn't really do me any favors because I would have gotten a senior discount anyway and she said well she didn't have to give you a discount at all at which point I said well I could have just left the food on the table and walked out as well. And she was very rude everything she brought me to the table she slammed to the table she walked away when I was talking and very rudely told me when I said that she was being rude she said to me thank you and goodbye and left. Will never go to Chili's in Garner again... I know restaurants are hurting for good staff but they shouldn't keep poor staff just to compensate. Servers are supposed to be polite please and thank you how can I help you anything else I can do for you instead of walking away from the table when...

I have been a vegetarian all my life (I get very sick if I eat any type of meat). Chili's has a great 3 for Me or 3 for Lunch specials but none of them are vegetarian friendly. I normally order the Chicken Bacon Ranch Quesadilla and tell the server to replace the chicken and bacon with onion and mushrooms (sometimes I even include corn, broccoli, and/or peppers. I have never had any issues doing it. Just 5 days ago, I had the same meal in Raleigh (with onions, mushrooms, and peppers). Today, the server told us that it would be no problem but replacing the chicken and bacon with mushrooms would cost $2 extra. I was surprised so he double-checked with the manager and she came out to tell us that they, in fact, will be charging us more to replace the most expensive item in the quesadilla with mushrooms. Not only did I have no option to choose anything on their 3 for Me, now I have to pay more for creating something that will not make me sick. BTW, no other Chili's has EVER charged us more since I had no other options to choose from. It wasn't the $2 but the principle of how they treat their customers. The only reason I gave this place a 2 star was because in September of 2013, my husband and I met there the first time, and even though the military sent us 2000 miles away, each time we came back to visit family, we always enjoyed going there to reminiscence.
