Service here is not good at all!!
Older lady, somewhat buffer with long gray hair and glasses: Yelled at me! When I went to go to grab my food!! I get it, in this area they probably have thieves all the time, but I DESPISE YELLERS! It's RUDE!! I don't take it very well being yelled at when I paid! Whoever that was at 2:30 pm October 6, she was MISERABLE. Told me that I should have read the paper, but WHO IS GOING TO READ THAT? AT LEAST I KNOW FOR NEXT TIME, BUT THERE'S A WAY TO TALK TO PEOPLE! I don't care if you're miserable at your job, you're going to treat me with respect or I'm writing a review. I told her I can write a review for the way she's treating me and she acted like it was not a big deal. I worked at Lowe's for 3 years, she ain't going to condescend me because i'm 23!!! You're supposed to talk to customers NICELY SO THEY COME BACK, RIGHT?????? The manager will be consulted too because she's not the only one in there having a miserable attitude and creating MISERABLE ATMOSPHERE FOR CUSTOMERS. Sick of them talking to me with such condescension, AND MESSING UP ORDERS AT TIMES TOO. I've been a regular customer here with my sister. So that lady also went to the back to get me some powdered sugar, and I heard her back there telling her coworkers that she was dealing with a 'rude' customer. Not trying to be entitled, but I've been to places where you can go and pick up your order so EXCUSE ME for not seeing a paper with tiny writing. I still don't deserves to be yelled at like that, workers in Gastonia just seem to love yelling at customers! Well they can keep getting bad reviews until they stop yelling at customers! I get that where this iHop is located is a TRASH AREA, but you will not yell at me unscathed! I never yelled at a customer not 1 time at Lowe's, I was polite!!    Read moreUPDATE: TODAY IS OCTOBER 18TH 2023 AND I STILL HAVE NOT GOT A RETURN PHONE CALL FROM THE DISTRICT MANAGER. I CALL THE RESTAURANT AND CANT GET AN ANSWER. RETURNED THE FOOD THE NIGHT OF PURCHASING WHICH WAS OCTOBER 14TH AND STILL NO REFUND. THE PAYMENT HAS CLEARED IN MY ACCOUNT. BAD BAD WAY TO RUN A BUSINESS!!! CONTACTING BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU!! DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER ONLINE HERE. I returned my food due to many reasons and was told that the store could not issue a refund that I would have to contact district manager between 8am and 11am on Sunday 10-15-23 and the district manager would issue the approval for a refund. I contacted the district manager and had to leave a voice-mail and still no call back. Still no refund. I ordered the steak burger and added an extra patty. The patty looked like it was freezer burnt because both patties were stuck together and the top patty looked chopped up. I asked for no onions because I am allergic to onions and I had onions on the burger. Lettuce was old and I didn't have any ihop sauce on it. My daughter ordered oreo waffle, no oreos on it but a big glob of something on top of it. She also ordered 2 scrambled eggs with cheese added which was an extra charge no cheese was added and it looked like she only got a half of an egg. My other daughter ordered chicken and waffles and she didn't get her dipping sauce she asked for. My husband ordered the app sampler, the mozzarella sticks looked old and over cooked, he asked for Onion rings instead of fries. He had fries and one onion ring. We called back to store after getting home and the shift lead told us to bring it back for a refund. The excuse was they are short staffed. That is no excuse!!!! I don't have $66 dollars to throw away because this restaurant is under performing. I definitely was not going to eat the food and get sick!!!

   Read moreWe just came back for a late night breakfast after many months. SURPRISE! Jackie was our friendly, attentive server. Our Colorado omelets came out like they're supposed to... as pictured, minus green peppers - sub spinach. The pancakes were fresh, hot, and as pictured... (Vanilla spice ones are amazing!) The eggs were fluffy, and hash browns were perfectly crispy. As regulars for over 20 years, we had stopped coming because of the sloppy looking staff, poor food quality, and horrible kitchen not putting out food as pictured or as ordered. We were thrilled with the new staff in the front of the house AND in the kitchen! I'm glad we decided to give them another chance. If you haven't been in a while, give them another shot. We'll definitely be returning to our new-old favorite place for breakfast food. 9/29/23 They must have new staff in the kitchen again - they're back to being unpredictable. My Chicken Fajita omelet was small and dry, and my pancakes were very thin and dry. Wish I had better luck. I miss eating their breakfast all day long. :( 2/27/24 Ate breakfast here with family today ... unfortunately, my luck seems to continue to be bad. Hubby's Spinach Omelet was very small. My Big Steak Omelet was nothing more than a thin egg omelet stuffed with hash browns and a few cubes of green pepper with some pulled meat sprinkled on top. My double chocolate chip pancakes were thin, hard, and dry and were sent back to the kitchen. The cook blamed the batter, so I ordered strawberry cheesecake ones instead. They took forevvver to come out and were the same poor quality. They must have new cooks back there because the quality seems to have taken a turn...
