Ordered recently to try out a variety of foods. Came away feeling meh. First, clean enough place. People very kind. No issues with service at all. The food though... just going to run down what we got... no particular order.
Quesadillas - Fine
Ground Beef Enchilada - First was missing ground beef, not a great look for a first visit, but it happens.... Second, and worse though, the exterior was dry and stale. Had obviously been part of a larger pan some time prior (not inherently bad), but the exterior was dried out, with the corn tortilla getting a bit stale soggy around the edges (not to be confused with exposed corn that gets hard-crunchy when baked). The red sauce was inedibly bitter, which happens when dried chiles are over-cooked. It wasn't even smothered in a fresh layer of sauce. I've quite sincerely had better enchiladas from frozen meals, and at a better value too.
Rice and beans - Standard middle of the road fare.
Al Pastor tacos - Had the flavor profile needed, albeit a little weak. Dry protein but have had worse. Missing limes on the side. It's a travesty to charge the per-taco prices they do and not include even a token wedge of lime. Nope, gotta pay extra for that.
Pork Tamale - The star of the meal. Nicely stuffed with meat, properly moist and not overcooked. Excellent flavor and tender masa. Would definitely grab these again.
Asada taco - Pretty standard asada taco. Again no lime by default for a decidedly standard side item. Meat was a bit overcooked and dry.
Chicken breast taco - They gave us a second asada taco accidentally. Either that or the chicken was so similar to the asada as to be indistinguishable... but I'm pretty sure it was just accidentally more steak.
Chorizo burrito - The chorizo was bland... and I'm not talking mild heat, I mean barely flavorful. It was a very light pinkish color too, which is strange since most chorizos are a nice red even before frying up. Felt like it hadn't been rendered fully. Wasn't expecting meatiness, per se, since it's an inherently fatty protein, but it just seemed "off" somehow that's hard to describe. Burrito was filled with lettuce and a little tomato as well. Not bad, but not great.
Horchata - Cloyingly sweet, even on ice. Kids loved it, but wife and I couldn't drink more than a couple sips. Barest hint of cinnamon or other spice flavor. Not refreshing.
Overall value for the price received was borderline worth it at best. 3 stars...
Read moreOk, so having to edit my review this is where things are going apparently. So we go there a few times a month, order through Doordash just as much, when we order its almost always a soap opera. Something is missing or not what we asked for partially. Here's where it breaks down, calling them to tell them, apparently it's not their problem, it's doordashs'. Exactly how did Doordash mess the order up? They are doing their job, but not Taco Dale oh and by the way it'll never be their fault when you talk to them, you're apparently bothering them with insignificant details and they let you know that by the huffing. Look I'm old enough to know when good food doesn't have good help, seen it before, we all have. But putting blame on another is next level fail, doordash is doing their job and pays like literally for the mistake even though it's not theirs. Grow up Taco Dale you just lost customers, I had givin 3 chances, now I'm done. When I pay someone for services, guess what call me crazy, but I have an expectation, like getting what I paid for. I'm sure half out there will carry a torch for them. Yeah I was there also, that...

My recent visit to Taco Dale in Batavia was an absolute delight. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was welcoming and the staff provided excellent customer service. But the real star of the show was the food - authentic, fresh Mexican cuisine that tantalized my taste buds. The steak burrito, in particular, was a masterpiece. Cooked exactly to my specifications, every bite was a blend of perfectly seasoned steak and fresh ingredients, wrapped in a soft, warm tortilla. It's not just a meal; it's an experience that shouldn't be missed. Taco Dale has set a new standard for Mexican cuisine in the area, and I can't wait to return and try more of their delicious dishes. Highly recommended for anyone looking for top-notch Mexican...
