This review is about tacos from the take-out window ONLY... I've been eating breakfast tacos to go here for over 20 years and they never fail to deliver! The tacos are stuffed full...one taco can be a complete meal...although it is really hard to eat just one....hard to choose just one kind of taco too! My all time favorite is the migas taco with the machacado a close second. The chicken fajita taco is absolutely beautifully seasoned and makes for a great lunch! If you've never been there before, the ordering process may be a little confusing...there is one guy taking orders and handing out the food....he is amazing at keeping up with who orders what. There is always a crowd around the order window...just ask around "have you ordered, yet?" and you can figure out your place "in the queue". Everyone is always very nice! One reminder....be sure to get 1 salsa/hot sauce container per taco or you will run out...the salsa is delicious.. One recommendation to the owner- please consider offering corn tortillas with the breakfast too...instead of just flour. Great place...been around a long time and still some of the best texmex tacos around!

Strong stinch as you enter the restaurant which should have deterred me but I decided to stay much to my regret. Started with a batch of chips and salsa. The salsa was fresh and decent flavor but the chips had no salt and seemed store bought however the waitress indicated they were made in-house. Taco platter with Spanish rice and refried beans arrived and looked appealing... But.... Looks can be deceiving though. It seemed that every effort was made to make the dish as flavorless as possible. The beef slop in the taco was bland and soupy. The taco shell was some form of cheap fried corn tortilla. Thankfully the lettuce and tomato were fresh. The salsa on the taco at least gave some flavor. The beans missed any aspect of refried. No garlic, salt or any other seasoning. And the Spanish rice was a sad state of overcooked rice with some sort of red coloring that did little to add any flavor. Even at the lunch special of $8.99 the plate was overpriced for the taste.

Came here for breakfast tacos while visiting friends in Georgetown. It was a Sunday and they only have to-go food as the dining area is closed on Sunday's. There's a walk-up window on the side to place your order. Ordered many different tacos to get a taste of everything. Ordered the Machacado, Chile Colorado, Chile Verde, Barbacoa, Chorizo & Potato, Bean & Cheese with Bacon, Bacon & Egg. There were a few people in line, but tacos were ready in about 15 minutes. You can sit at the tables outside, but took the tacos home to eat. All the tacos were generously stuff in the fresh tortillas. They were all good, but I specifically enjoyed the Chile Colorado and Chile Verde as they're not served everywhere. The red salsa in the bag was very mild, not sure if they had a green salsa or anything hotter. Overall good place to grab some breakfast tacos, but didn't get to try anything else on the menu.

Bad and good about this place. Presentation was great and portion size was awesome is the only reason they got 2 stars. The rice was mildly flavored but cooked correctly. Bean were extremely bland tasted like they just cooked them in water and nothing else. I got chicken crispy tacos they were ok again hardly any flavor. My husband got the beef fajita plate beans tasted the same bland rice was ok and the meat mildly flavored. Crane guisada taco was terrible and dry. Not sure what they consider guisada but this wasn't it. Barbacoa was good about the only thing from our order decent. Salsa had no kick to it. Store bought tortillas. Tried ordering online and price was $26 and some change. Paid at window instead and man said $28 and some change but when I gave him my card he charged me $29.64. I would not come to this place again. Came all the way from leander because of the reviews very disappointing. I'm from San Antonio and we are all about authentic foods and flavors and this is no where near that. I did call my order in and picked up at window. Disappointing in food and the fact that I was given three...

Surprisingly good! We thought we would try El Charrito because we saw it on the Georgetown episode of "The Daytripper" a few years ago.

When we walked in and saw the menu that had the standard American Mexican fare, we thought it would be a let-down. My wife and I both had the Tuesday special of chicken fajitas, my daughter had tacos al carbon, and my son had the kid's chicken tenders.

The chicken fajitas were very good. They used thigh meat instead of breast, which makes it more flavorful and moist (more fat), as well as providing more iron content. Poblano peppers were used instead of green bell peppers, which gives it a slightly different (but good) flavor.

I would have satisfied with the Charro beans and rice alone, they were that good. If you can't get beans and rice right, there may not be hope for you.

I snuck a piece of steak from my daughter's tacos, and it was very well seasoned, not too salty, and tender.

We will be back again, and I look forward to trying the...
