Galvin's — Restaurant in Georgetown

Galvin's Restaurant has truly exceeded my expectations. What started as a food truck has now evolved into a fantastic standalone location with a welcoming sports bar feel and a great kids menu. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a treat.

The pizza we ordered was absolutely amazing. It was super cheesy and cooked to perfection. The kids loved it, and honestly, so did the adults! The Chef Salad was another highlight of our meal. It was fresh, flavorful, and packed with a variety of ingredients. We were impressed by the quality of the ingredients used.

The burgers at Galvin's Sports Bar are definitely worth trying. They were juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. We also had the pleasure of trying their Club sandwich, and it was enormous! It was so big that we had trouble fitting it in our mouths, but every bite was worth the effort. The sandwich was delicious and filled with generous portions of ingredients.

One aspect that stood out to us was the reasonable pricing. Given the quality of the food, we felt that the prices were fair and affordable. It's always a pleasant surprise to find a place that offers excellent value for money. Additionally, the waitstaff at Galvin's Sports Bar were exceptionally friendly and attentive. They were quick to accommodate our requests and made sure we had a great dining experience.

In conclusion, if you're looking for a family-friendly sports bar with a great kids menu, Galvin's Sports Bar is the place to go. The pizza, burgers, and Club sandwich were all outstanding, and the Chef Salad was a pleasant surprise. The prices were reasonable, and the waitstaff provided excellent service. We have been to Galvin's a small handful of times and while the husband is always satisfied with his choices, mine always seemed hit or miss. So, yesterday we wanted some pizza and decided we'd give theirs a try.

We started with their hot pretzel appetizer and it was fantastic and huge! For our meal, he got a pepperoni, mushroom, and green pepper pizza (he asked for green olives, but honest mistake during lunch rush, the weekend before Christmas- it was very busy) it was amazingly good pizza! I wasn't expecting much, but I have to say, it may be my new favorite in Georgetown! The crust is amazing, in that is has a crisp exterior, yet soft in the middle. Yes, most should be that way, but it's still nearly the same even warmed up out of the fridge. That's magic.

I'm picky, when it comes to texture, so I usually stick with the same things no matter where I go. I had read the reviews and I kept seeing how great the cheese steak was, so I wanted to try it, but was kind of worried about fatty or meat with a lot of gristle, or other weird textures. Well, let me tell ya, this was by far the best one I have ever had! The seasoned beef was amazing in flavor, as well as being lean and no gristle, but yet still moist. And, the roll they serve it on (I assume a French bread roll) is delicious enough to eat by itself. It was crusty, a little chewy, and amazing. I am not a fan of processed cheese, so I would probably skip the cheese next time, or maybe order it with Swiss or something, however real Philly's usually come with a processed cheese sauce, so it was actually spot on.

Our server was also great and very helpful with suggestions, as well as our food coming out fast and hot. I can't recall her name, but she was wearing a sparkly, silver mask. Lol Can't...

Galvin's has an awesome grilled chicken wrap. I like to order mine with fries. Last week I ordered one and was served fries that were unsatisfactory. When I called to complain, I was acknowledged and said I would be in the next day to return them. It really wasn't a big deal to me, I didn't return the fries. In fact, I had lunch at the bar a couple of days later. Chili and crackers, it was delicious. I went there for lunch again today. BIG MISTAKE!!! Today, the service was just poor. I ordered the grilled chicken wrap w/ fries. When I noticed someone people that came in after me being served before me, I informed my waitress. She just forgot to put my order in. She didn't admit to that but I'm smarter than she may think. When my order did come, it wasn't right. I ordered a grilled chicken wrap and received a buffalo chicken wrap. I asked the waitress/bartender to speak to the manager. She cleaned three more tables before she went to get the manager. That made me furious. At that point, I felt I was just being ignored. To beat all, the son of a __ wouldn't even come out to speak to me. I called from my cell phone and asked to speak to a manager and was told he was busy. I'm sorry. Dan is his name. I know because he had the nerve to call me on my personal cell phone after I left and suggested we go our separate ways. Really, what was your first clue? Me leaving or you calling?
