Golden Chick — Restaurant in Georgetown

One of the main things I like about Golden Chick is the spice packets. I do enjoy the chicken tenders plain or with gravy, but I always enjoy the extra kick that the spice packets offer, and if I'm really needing extra heat, I'll eat them with jalapenos. So on my recent visit I once again was treated to a rather funny scenario. Thankfully the guy did not get hurt. I decided for a change since I had some extra time left before my next appointment, I would eat inside the restaurant instead of getting it to-go.

That day, they were doing some light maintenance work (The usual fixing lights, fixing the ceiling tiles etc.) At one point one of the workers that was standing on the ladder was trying to replace one of the tiles, and I guess he lost grip of the tile and it fell, hitting him in the face and then landing on the floor. Thankfully he did not fall, but dust went everywhere. And the poor cashier lady freaked out and said: "¡Madre de Dios! ¿Estás bien?" (Mother of God! Are you okay?). He said he was fine and they cleaned up the small mess (It was not really that much dust, but it did go flying). And everything went back to normal. I finished my meal about 20 minutes later and left.

Couldn't tell you how the food was because I left without ordering. Nobody was in line ahead of us, man who I would assume was acting manager at least said he'd be right with us. No problem so far. Guy who ordered in drive through came inside, because he basically ordered a combo that didn't exist. He was mad because he explicitly detailed what he wanted, and apparently the person on drive through didn't understand or just wasn't paying attention. Reason I know all of this is because the person I'm calling manager was very dutifully attending to this customer, while me and my coworker stood, apparently invisible, for a good while. I could see there was no roast chicken ready, so I asked another employee if they could prepare a 2 piece roast chicken, since that's what I was going to order. The idea being, I've already waited 10-15 minutes, only person in line, maybe I wouldn't have to then wait even longer for them to get around to make my food. The employee just said 'just wait and then you can order it' I don't know if the employees here are completely apathetic, or simply incompetent but I guess they'll just hire anybody. Don't go here if you value your time, which is laughably poor for a fast food...

Went through the drive thru in Georgetown and ordered the 9 piece wicked wings meal with mashed potatoes and green beans. I asked the drive thru person for extra gravy on my potatoes, because they never have enough gravy on them. I always have to ask for gravy. I also ordered the sriracha and honey wings as well. When I got home and got settled, I found my mashed potatoes without any gravy. Just dry. They gave extra sriracha sauce for my mom’s wings, but I couldn’t get any gravy. I called the next day to let them know and was told that I should have called the night of my order and there is nothing I they can do about it. The manager I spoke with was a Mr. Ricardo. The way that establishments handle their customers nowadays is ridiculous. No care whatsoever. The moment we as customers stop coming then this is when they will understand. I paid my hard earned money for gravy, that’s what I should have gotten the first time around. Since my order was messed up, Mr. Ricardo, you could have suggested on my next return, to give me some extra gravy at no charge!!! That would have been great customer service and a way to keep...
