Indigo Bakery — Restaurant in Georgetown

Okay, I almost walked by this place, because I don’t eat wheat, but it was so cute & due to Covid 19 lots of places were closed. Well, thank you Jesus! They had three gluten free offerings: peanut butter cookies, macaroons ( coconut macaroon, not macarons), & a peanut fat bomb. Forget about the other two things, I bought the peanut butter cookie. Only $1.50 &! I got a cold mocha(not frozen-no blender). My BFF got a chocolate chip cookie. Well, the mocha was a big surprise! Delicious!, very much coffee flavor, w/coffee ice cubes & maybe chocolate nibs & I think finishing sugar...yummy! The peanut butter cookie was moist, sweet, just delish. When I finished, I went back in & bought me another one. My BFF said get me another chocolate chip cookie too....

My wife and I were wandering around Georgetown and saw this bakery. I'm a fat guy who likes cookies and cakes etc. so we went in. So glad we did. We got a couple cookies and a brownie. I have to to say the cookies were really good. Good flavor and consistency. They were just the right balance of moist and crunchy. We got a chocolate chip and I think it was called dads cookie. Both were so good. The brownie holy cow was that delicious. It was super chocolate/fudgie without being over the top. It was exactly how a brownie should be. Went perfectly with a glass of milk. We spent the afternoon and Georgetown saw a couple museums walked around this beautiful town. Worked up a little appetite and decided to stop by this bakery. Glad we did! I got the best pecan pie I have ever had. No question. It's almost like an English butter tart. It was fabulous. I shared it with my wife and she really enjoyed it too. We sat out back. I'm a little tables overlooking the marina. So we got wonderful service. Fantastic pie! Had a great view. What could be better.
