I had visited this restaurant over 3 years ago and was very happy with my food at that time and was excited about eating here again, HOWEVER this time I was not pleased at all. I ordered the enchilada and burrito dinner with ground beef instead of chicken with queso on top and the entree came with a side of rice and beans. When it came to the table it looked good enough however it was bland and the texture of the ground beef wasn't good..It didn't seem like real ground beef in texture or taste. It was grainy (that's the only way I know to describe it) It didn't even look like ground beef when I cut into it. My enchilada and burrito had the exact same ingredients inside, ground beef and nothing else (or if it did I couldn't see it or taste it).The only difference between the burrito and enchilada was that one was bigger than the other..Even the queso seemed blander than I am accustomed to. The rice was the best thing on the plate and it was just okay. The beans were just okay. I was very disappointed with my food and only ate a few bites. Even after my food arrived I continued eating the chips and salsa and that was just okay as well. Some of the chips were really so small like what you get at the bottom of a bag of chips and so they weren't really big enough to dip into the salsa. Requested a 2nd basket and they were better for dipping. I ate more of this than anything not because the chips and salsa was great but just because it was 9 at night, I hadn't eaten all day and so I was really, really hungry. I arrived to the restaurant hungry and left hungry. I am so disappointed. I know that the food used to be really good so I'm not sure what happened. The decor is nice and there's an extensive menu, BUT I will not...
Read moreMi Casita is one of my favourite places to eat. While their first location feels cozy and homey, their second location has lots of elbow room to spread out or to have a large party, and is tastefully and professionally decorated. The food is very real and authentic, and never tastes like it is microwaved or out of a box or can. It is the degree to which I measure all other texmex and mexican restaurants. My favourite things to get there are any of the variety of fajita meals available, quesadillas, huevos and pollo dishes. The Fajitas Volcan, Quesadilla Rejena, Huevos Rancheros and Huevos con Chorizo and Pollo Loco specifically. They have a wide enough variety of dishes that you can try new things there for quite some time before you run out. Their alcohol selection is a little erratic, but what they do they do well. Beer selection is the most limited (although I've never looked to see if they even serve wine), but their mixed drinks such as margaritas (which is the sort of thing I like with texmex food anyway) are great. Their soft drink selection is also good; they...
Read moreI have been going to this restaurant for years and can not believe the poor customer service I received tonight. I questioned my bill bc of course they just put prices no description. The lady that runs the register explained the charges to my husband and I and we were fine with our bill. Another waitress grabbed the bill out of my husbands hand and said "I'll fix it". She brought my bill back HIGHER than it was. The meals that were $2.50 she changed to 6.99 (burritos) ! When we complained she said we had been under charged? We asked to speak to a manger and he kept saying the same. They refused to fix my bill. When I told them it was very poor customer service the manager laughed and shrugged his shoulders. As we were walking out the door the manager yelled "Adios" I was very shocked at how rude they were especially since I am a frequent customer. They lost my business tonight. Beware, aparently they can charge you...
