Captain D's — Restaurant in Georgia

UPDATE ON THIS REVIEW. OBVIOUSLY, THEY HAVE CHANGED MANAGERS. Did go back last week after a 10 week absence and the place is entirely different. The area around the drink machine was clean and the drink machine was clean. No trash falling over around the trash cans where before trash was everywhere on the floor. The staff is back to friendly and seems to have a whole different attitude. Thanks, Captain Ds for bringing back clean and friendly. PREVIOUS REVIEW: I have been going almost weekly to Captain Ds since I moved in the area in June 2017. For the past 8 weeks, this Captain Ds has gone down hill rapidly. The drink and condiment area is always dirty with no attempt to clean or refill. Ice is a problem too. You almost have to beg for it. They have a hard time keeping sweet and unsweetened tea. If you ask them they are always making the teas, telling you in six minutes, only to have you wait 30 minutes or more, then you go to the front counter to have to get your first cup of tea. By the time you get your first tea you are ready to leave. The staff use to be friendly, now you can't even give them a smile, and they all seem so stressed out and anxious. Not enough help. Well Brunswick its been a real experience for the 7 years I have been living here on and off 2022 has been the year lot of the real ugliness show up. Back in April my nephew and I drove up to the drive through of Captain D's on Altama Conn in Brunswick and The person on the intercom stated that, and I quote "we are under staffed and overwhelmed so your order may take up to 20 minutes is that ok"? I sad ok and sat there for a minute then drive around to a parking spot which the whole parking lot was empty and there was no line or anything. 5 minutes in I felt like using the bathroom so I walked up to the door to see if they were actually open which it was so i went in. I couldn't get a sentence in before i was attacked verbally by who must have been the manager. I repeated 3 times the question why are you talking to me like this? She called the police they came and I told them what happened they sent me on my way. There is cell phone video of this incident and I will reach out to the people who have them if needs be. Brunswick GA captain ds i swear i dont know how they are still in business. ive tried to make an order 4x now. everytime i go there they dont have fish... EVER. yesterday i tried again to order some lobster rolls only to be told they have no lettuce lobster meat or bread.... how the heck are yall still in business? one time i pulled up to order around 6..... by the time i got to the place to take my order i was told i could only order from what they had already cooked because they were not cooking any additional food because they were closing in about 30 mins. this was also the time that i was told that just to wait for food to cook would be 20-30 minute wait because you all only had one cook... i was still willing to wait... i alsowitnessed the workers in there playing with their hair and laughing and playing around no work was being done... i just dont understand how this is acceptable. seems like there is nobody in there that cares about their job... and its truly disappointing. i loved captain ds but this brunswick ga location i just...
