There is a lot to love about Fratelli's, and I eat there somewhat regularly with a group of friends.
Unfortunately, a pricing discrepancy between the large menu and what they actually charge keeps clouding my experience. I like to order the Pepperoni & Mushroom Calzone that is specifically listed as $8.50 on the menu. The consistently charge me for a cheese calzone at $7.65 plus $1.70 for the toppings. I realize this is only $.85 difference and that's not a ton of money, but in principal this really bothers me. I expressed my concern through an online message in February and I received a message apologizing for the issue and confusion, though no offer to make it right, with assurance they were working on a new menu. It has been nearly three months since that response, and the problem continues without any mention of the extra charge when ordering. When I politely mention the discrepancy to the cashier when ordering, they either stare at me with confusion or bridled irritation.
I realize making this issue a big deal in my review may sound petty, but if they're quietly overcharging me on this menu item, then I assume they are over charging other people, and that adds up. On principle, it's not okay.
Now, to be fair, the food is good and the servers generally do a fine job. The food doesn't tend to come out together for tables, but it does come out fresh and hot.
Overall, this is a good restaurant and I will eat there again, but until they either fix the menu issue or start notifying people of the actual price before they actually order, I'm going to have a hard time getting...
Read moreI like the musical aspects. The decor is minimal but showcases many musical artists such as Nirvana and Jimi Hendrix. The breadsticks were good but one couldn’t really call them breadsticks. They were like a mixture between cheese sticks and bread sticks but somehow they worked. I also ordered the Sicilian pizza and the medium half pep half cheese. The medium half pep and half cheese had a nice cheese pull and crispy crust. You have to eat it fast, but not too fast as the toppings will fall off, but somewhere in the middle so the cheese doesn’t congeal. The salad was also good, however it would have been better without the green peppers. The Sicilian I wanted to like but it was underwhelming. There was too much breading and not enough toppings to make it seem like you are not eating dough. After one slice I had to ask for sauce to make up for how dry the dough was which helped. The sauce is also free which was ahmazing. I feel as though maybe I ordered the wrong toppings because it had the potential to be great like a really good bread bowl. Overall the service was good but I don’t see myself ordering the...
Read moreFirst time ever going to this restaurant and it will be the last. The first issue is, the hostess that rings you up lies to you and tells you that the card machine Charges you a tax to use it. I found this out because my total was 24.20 but then it went to $25.30. I asked her why, and she said the machine charge as a tax. That is a total lie. The truth is, the merchant is charged a fee to have a credit machine and they don’t want to pay the fee. Therefore they have the hostess lying to you and telling you it’s a tax when it’s actually a fee for them having the credit machine. The cost of doing business is paying the fees for customers when they use a credit card. It’s not the customers responsibility to cover their fees. If they don’t want to pay fees and they should take cash only. The other thing is, I bought a Philly cheesesteak and basically it was all bread and nothing else you can see by the picture that there is no meat on the sandwich. I do not recommend anyone going here and I should’ve read the reviews...
