Update: 7 months after last review (below) I wasn't sure about eating there again. Went today with the wife. Worse than before. Food came out one at a time with long waits between. First served was gyoza in a bowl of lettuce dropped off without a plate/dish for me or wife. Had to go ask. Was given one small dish. Had to explain that both of us needed one. No sauce dish. Sushi was cold and the shrimp tempura sushi was veritably shrimpless. The tail husk was left but that was it. Seriously, not enough shrimp to call it shrimp tempura sushi. Cold. As was the California roll. Nothing was better than bad today. Done here.
PREVIOUS REVIEW: I don't know if there is a new sushi chef but today's shrimp tempura sushi was not good. The gyoza was excellent, egg rolls were fine, seaweed salad was good. The wasabi was tasteless. The pickled ginger was like cardboard. The sushi was brought to the table but no dish for the soy sauce and wasabi mixed but I emptied the small plastic dish for the gyoza and used that to dip the sushi into. Just not the excellent eating experience we have had in the past. Server was nonchalant and did not display any real interest...
Read moreOverpriced, no customer service whatsoever. I ordered the noodles shrimp bowl it wasn’t on a bowl it was $8+ then they asked if I wanted vegetables with it.... i asked how much was that she said $1+.... $9+ dollars I asked what all came in the dish wondering why charge for vegetables, it’s because the menu is literal it’s noodles and some shrimp just like their attempt at shrimp fried rice (see picture below) I have eaten Japanese food in Japan, Hawaii and here in the continental USA and have never been sold the vegetables separate, they are part of the dish just sell the dish for $9+. The sushi, the avocado and ingredients where fresh but the sushi was poorly made and lacked enough white rice. The cashier looked like she was done for the day and didn’t appreciate you arriving at 9:45pm when they close at 10:00. The chairs where already up and they where sweeping while we where eating (before 10:00pm). Why don’t they just close at 9 if they are going to lack service so bad that late. They pulled a similar stunt on Christmas when I arrived 30 minutes before closing and they had locked the doors. I tried to go in because the open...
Read moreThis is an allergy friendly location. I enjoy Asian food and especially hibachi. This location in Moultrie is coinvent for takeout in the Publix shopping center. It has standard meals and sushi for this style of restaurant. Hope and the staff were amazing!! She ensured the grill was cleaned to prevent cross-contamination, informed the chef on my restrictions, and checked ingredients. I had ordered the Teriyaki chicken without soy, and Hope followed up and discovered there way soy in that sauce. She informed me and they remade my order without the sauce, and it was still delicious!!! That is initiative worth rewarding. I'm a ServSafe instructor for food safety and this is what needs to be done to protect customers with food restrictions. Well done everyone!! The food is wonderful, the service was spectacular, and everyone was friendly. This is now one of my favorite places to eat in Moultrie.
P.S. Pro tip- tip well when they go to this much trouble for you. Gratitude...
