I've worked in the food industry for over 10 years, so I understand there are off days but when I walked in Saturday at 11, no one acknowledged us. There was no hello, thank you, or have a nice day.. There was no trash bag in the outside trash can. Two of the girls seemed to be doing things that should have already been done before opening, ie, putting rugs down and wiping out bowls. The one girl making the orders could have used a little help. She seemed nervous to be making orders by herself. When the shift leader took my money, she didn't speak then either. Its just very rude and unwelcoming when the employees act like the customers aren't there. And it doesn't matter if they come in everyday. I'm still a paying customer. I never have an issue through the week, just on Saturdays when the normal employees aren't there. Hospitality goes a long way especially since we are in the south. Look forward to seeing you guys Monday.

This is our daily lunch place. If they were open on Sundays we would be there too. The staff are friendly and seem like friends. Found you on Google, all reviews seemed favorable so off I went. Tried a burrito, liked the idea of the many choices of tortillas to choose from. Went for beef and chicken on the jalapenos tortilla. The ordering and choices are a lot like Moe's and I commented this to the assemblers (not sure how to address the girls and by no means trying to be negative or disrespectful). They thought it was more like a Chipotle, I replied oh no, don't even lower Surcheros to them. I've had bad experiences at Chipotle and they have had their share of poor food handling press. Their response was hadn't even tried either. Moe's reference was intended to be a complement. Any way, it was overall good. Food wasn't necessarily hot, might want to check this regularly. And even had double queso, one in the burrito and one on the side but seemed very watery and not very flavorful. I liked the minced jalapenos and the freshness of all the condiments. The atmosphere could have been a little more lively, maybe some background music? The staff was pleasant and the restaurant was clean. I would recommend Surcheros and will revisit next...
