I wanted to give this Jersey Mike's a try earlier this afternoon, but apparently ordering at the counter will only get you a side glance and you're expected to wait for the online orders to be completed before you can be helped. I see three employees upon walking in, apparently the little dude walking around iin the back is too busy to help, another has to make a grand announcement that she's off shift, and dude number 2 at the counter asks if Im picking up, and after telling him that Im dining in, he tells me that I need to order near the end of the counter where the meat case is. Mind you no other customers were there at this time He takes time now at this point to hand another customer his pick up order, and goes right back to working on other orders. Time is valuable for everyone, and I was more than happy to turn around and walk out of this rinky dink joint with the three little parking spaces in front. And I'll add that at this point I was in the mood for something with better service anyway. Ive lived in this area and was stationed at the Fort long before Grovetown was really known, and swear it was better back then. Everything was basic, and it was what it was. These people around here now want to piggy back off Fort Gordon but the truth of the matter is this place isnt ready for anything. Dont get me started on these papier mache structures that are being slapped together overnight in this place and referred to as new construction. Ive walked out of many "establishments" here due to the ignorance en masse and can't leave the area...
Read moreUpdate: November 17 2023 It seems like everytime my husband and I go in there together they always make his sub wrong and mine right. It's weird.
Came in yesterday and my husband confirmed the type of bread he wanted 3 times with workers. They still went and picked the wrong bread. We didn't catch on because he was tending to our son. This has happened 2 other times in the past. But this time it's a rating change. Because actually these subs are too pricey for anybody to be making a mistake. Especially a simple bread mistake. And then it's happened more than once. If you can't comprehend what kind of bread a customer wants you shouldn't be working in a sub place. We have given this specific location alot of business over the years. And over the years the food and service has declined. Hmmm I wonder why? 🤔 but we won't be coming back to this location. And it's a shame. Giving a 1 star from a 5 star because this is a sub shop and these mistakes don't seem to be on accident. They do it all the time. Why is one sub always perfect but the other one isn't? I see alot of staff has changed too. And maybe that's the reason. The old staff was ON POINT AND FRIENDLY. We simply won't be back to this location.
Older review: My #13 is always on point! I usually see the same people when I come in, and they're always friendly! The place is always clean! And...
Read moreSo went to have a couple of sandwiches with my husband. Ordered a Chipotle cheese steak and a club to go. Went to my car and bit into the club, noticed there was no bacon. I promptly went back in to let them know. The girl takes my package and Before she opens it I alert her that I've already bitten into the sandwich. She says that's OK. And proceeds to open it up and touch it and put it on the counter where there are other sandwiches that they're preparing. She then turns around in an attempt to pull bacon out of their holding spot to place on the sandwich and I tell her no I would actually like to have my money back. I tell the manager the reason why I asked for that is because I bit into the sandwich, they were supposed to trash that one and offer to make me a new sandwich not contaminate the counter and every other sandwich in the place. Just to make sure whos reading this gets the concept of how bad this is, what if i had TB, bleeding gums, jaundice, or any number of other things. So bad, dept of health would shut it down if they were there. NEVER...
