I had an unfortunate encounter this evening, while trying to support a local business in McDonough. I decided to go to KFC for lack of better judgment. As I entered the restaurant, I waited at least 7 to 10 minutes before anyone even acknowledged that I was standing there. This should have been a sign to head for the door, but I decided to wait it out.
Upon someone finally asking me what I wanted, I asked for a simple 8-piece. The young lady told me that she didn't think that they were selling any family meals tonight. I asked her to repeat herself because I could not understand why considering I had just seen another young lady put two large pans of fried chicken in the warmer. However, she repeated herself, and told me that her manager told her that they were not selling any family meals tonight. I asked to speak with the manager , and he came over. At first I asked him about a special that I was told that they may have. And he sarcastically responded by saying that sounds like a really good deal that he would want that deal for himself and that sounds too good!
Nonetheless, I proceeded to order 8-pieces, and he told me that he was unable to sell anything other than combo meals that included two or three pieces. And I asked him why was this the case, to which he responded by saying that KFC is cheap and ran out of chicken. He then said can you believe the KFC ran out of chicken, that's right, you would be surprised to see our inventory, we don't have enough chicken to get us through the night. I said why is it that I cannot get 8 pieces because there is no guarantee that you will sell combos later tonight but you are guaranteed to sell 8- pieces right now. He said that he was told not to sell it; therefore, he was not doing it. I said OK I asked for his manager's name. He told me that he was the manager and that his district or regional managers name was Greg but he did not know his last name.
So I hope the Greg has an opportunity to see this review, because Greg, your management stinks! If you are a chicken restaurant, and you ran out of chicken, shame on you! This is the last time that I will attempt to go to this location ever again. Read moreSo dined here yesterday w/ my mother and nephew. When I approached to counter I stood there for about 6 minutes before I had to speak to her acknowledged. Mind you the staff could clearly see me . The kitchen was a mess.. food all over the floor . Oh and it was the manager on the line who was closest too me. I never was approached so I went through drive thru to place me order ,, yea I know . I ordered the new chicken combo for my mother and a 2 pc drum Combo for my nephew. I obviously didn’t eat because I was turned off. The food was wrong of course and the sandwich was just thrown together a/ poor execution . Again the manager was on the line so off all people in the establishment if that’s how she sends it out then why would her subordinates deliver anything but worse quality . I don’t do google reviews ever but I am FED UP! I know covid shook the restaurant industry up but it’s just getting plain ridiculous now & the thing is you never know who you’re serving. I myself am a general manager of a barbecue restaurant & what I hate most is customer service . I get not having the extra help due to labor or low staffing levels but the thing is they were not busy . It’s like corporate does not exist anymore and are not checking in with these companies . Read moreI usually don’t post but this had to be the worst service I’ve ever experienced. First off when I pulled up through the drive thru and ordered the girl had an attitude for what reason I don’t know why. Not to mention, if you don’t like your job find a new one. She told me they are only taking card or exact cash. She act like she didn’t hear me say cash at the drive thru she tells me to pull around which i did. I apologized to her because I had to yell through the intercom that I will be paying with cash because I was already driving around at that time. The girl at the cash register and her friend didn’t even acknowledge my apology. As I proceed to hand them cash the girl with the headphones catches an attitude and said i told you exact cash. I then proceeded to get my money back as I’m about to pull out my credit card the two girls start talking about me like I couldn’t hear them. They need to be fired if you don’t want to work then quit. I drove off because I refuse to spend money where the customer service is lacking.
