UPDATE: My last review was 5 years ago (see below) and sadly, this place has gotten worse. I was in the area a few days ago,This is the WORST McDonald's I've ever been to. And that's saying a lot-I'm originally from Brooklyn, NY, and our fast food restaurants there aren't the greatest. I live right by this location, so I was ecstatic when they built one so close. It's so bad, I don't know where to begin! Uhm, let's see.
Me and my family have gotten sick several times from the burgers there. I don't know if it's from improper hand washing or not thoroughly cooked meat.
You go d wsthere and they have burgers/no cheese, no fries, the iced coffee/shake machine seems to ALWAYS be down, no matter what time of the day you go.
Even if you patronize, they do NOT supply free cups of water. This is the 1st and ONLY McDonald's I've been to like this. They explain it's the owner's decision. If you want water or God forbid you're choking in their dining room, you can be saved by purchasing a bottle of over-priced Dasani bottled water.
The owner is a complete jerk. I was excited to meet him since I'd read an article about him and his partner being from NY like me-retired CO's from Rikers Island. He was very short and unpleasant. Not just with me, but with other customers around him.
Lastly, it's one of those modern McDonald's dining rooms, complete with a flat-screen TV constantly running CNN, and free Wi-Fi. However, some time last summer, the owner covered up the sockets so you can't charge your electronic devices while using the Wi-fi. I personally asked him why and he said "because some people come and lounge all day with their laptops not buying anything". Hmmm, I wonder if Starbucks or Barnes and Noble had this same mentality if they would still be in business? I commented that "some of us patronize a lot, but never come in to use the Wi-fi, so when we do actually need to use it, we may only buy one thing and sit there for some time. Why should we be penalized for the actions of a few?" he never answered me. The sockets are STILL covered up.
I honestly thought the kinks would be worked out with this McDonald's by now, but almost 2 years after it's grand-opening, they're still bad. They hardly EVER get your order right and furthermore, their attitude sucks. I hardly ever go here anymore. I have to be starving with no gas in my car and too tired to drive elsewhere. I will also be forwarding these complaints to...
Read moreI used to come to this McDonald's a lot because it is on my way home from dropping my partner off at work in the mornings. They are inconsistent in their level of service. They often are not open on time. Very often there are long lines in the morning, which isn't unusual if it is because of volume, but with them it is just because they are extremely slow. I have been one of two or three cars in line and have sat waiting for 15 to 20 minutes for my order, usually a couple of bacon, egg and cheese biscuits - a standard on their menu. I once ordered coffee and they realized when I got to the window, that it wasn't made. One time I ordered a specialty coffee and they couldn't get the milk machine to work.
There is one person there, Amanda, who is friendly and polite. She has her spiel down pat. She says something like, "It's a great day at McDonald's. This is Amanda; would you like to try our..." She is always cheerful and professional and I've told her this a number of times. Regardless of her efforts to move the line, I still get stuck waiting at the window for food.
I don't know if any of this will change. I hope someone there will see this review and realize they are losing customers. I now go out of my way to Dunkin Donuts, Chik-Fil-A or even Burger King now because I'd rather drive somewhere else, sit in a long line and get good food and great service, than sit frustrated in a line for no reason, have to wait for food, hope the order is right and deal with people's bad attitude or inexperience in customer service. Once in a while, I go back in the hopes it has gotten better because it really is convenient, but they are just so inconsistent in their service. It's a real problem. My advice is go somewhere else if you...
Read moreThis is the WORST McDonald's ever.....I was visiting this hood location along with my mother. We were grabbing a quick bite for lunch. On our way out my mom dropped her bag of fries in the entrance of the restaurant. I went to the counter to ask the cashier if we could get another order of fries because my mom dropped her bag. The cashier was happy to redo the order. The cashier called out the order "can I get 2 large fries please". The cashier had at least 6 people waiting in line. She was the only one working in the cash register. There were 4 girls standing around in a circle having a full conversation. She (the cashier) called the order out again. Because they didn't respond to the girls request, the customer at the end of the line yelled out the order. The group of girls immediately stopped their conversation and was like "who is she talking to" " we heard her, we'll get it when we get finished". Another lady in line began to comment on the situation and was like "somebody need to help her out, all y'all standing around talking, like y'all ain't got no customers". One of the girls in the group was like " who are the fries for, not you (pointing at the lady at the end of the line) and not you" (pointing at the other lady) then she points at me and said "are they for you baby girl (I'm over 40 y/o) so I said yes. Then one of the 4 in the group says to the lady at the end of the line "you all piped up and the fries ain't even for you, calm down baby girl, calm down". By this time I was so done with this McDonald's and any other McDonald's. McDonald's need to do better with customer service, it's ridiculous at all of...
