I can't recall the last time I gave a one-star review. Usually, I let some bad experiences just slide, but this place takes awful to a whole other level. It took a total of 60 mins to get a 20 piece nuggets fr. I'm not sure where to begin. This McDonald's was next level slow. Despite there only being two cars in front of me, it took 20 minutes just to place my order. I waited in line for 10 additional minutes to pay, and even after I paid, it took an additional 10 minutes to reach the food window. Keep in mind, I only ordered a 20-piece nuggets. I was asked to move to the next window because the food wasn't ready, and that took another 20 minutes, I kid you not! It was like they were frying each nugget individually you feel me. Finally, when the employee handed me my order, there was no apology or explanation. I smiled, I thanked her, and I mentioned that the wait was longer than expected, but she seemed indifferent. The entire time, she was loudly chatting with her coworkers, she turned said, hmm, partially dropped the bag into my hands, said come again and close the window. Even though I don't expect much from a McDonald's visit, but bruh this is was crazy. I had been on the road for 5 hours, but after ordering something so simple it turned into 6 hrs on the road, I didn't get a drink. They also forgot the condiments I requested. I remained patient and polite throughout, but this place ain't it. I don't know if they taking advantage cause ppl desperate for workers, the lack of choices around, or because its a military town. However, the young employees at this location lacked professionalism. When I greeted them even at the payment window, I received a blank stare and a repetition of my food cost. Even when they asked me to pull up, there was no courtesy or acknowledgment. And the employee conversations were so loud that I could hear them through the windows. Franchises aren't cheap, I just hope they can keep generating money in spite of the bad...
Read moreI placed an order for pickup in store at this location. When I arrived, people in line let me know that the lobby was closed and they had been waiting for 30+ minutes. I can understand being short staffed, so it wasn't a huge deal.
I hopped in the drive- thru line and while waiting, checked the app for cancelation and refund policy. I couldn't cancel at this point. But I found the refund policy and it states:
"What If I Have an lssue with Mobile Order & Pay or Want a Refund?
If you experienced an issue with Mobile Order & Pay (excluding delivery), or are requesting a refund, please return to or contact the restaurant at which you made your purchase."
Remember that.
I finally reach the window and two different employees couldn't find my order. The manager came to the speaker and couldn't find it at first, and proceeded to tell me that they couldn't refund me. As I started to state what the app policy was, they found it (it was marked in store). The manager then told me I was supposed to be there to pick it up at whatever time the ticket says (on the app the order isn't completed until you mark, I'm here, giving them the time), but I was there! The lobby was closed. How am I to pick up an in store order when ain't no in-store?
When I got to the window, I asked for the manager again to get clarification on the refund policy for future reference, as it clearly states to contact the store where you made your purchase and there is no way to request a refund in app. She repeatedly talked over me and said over and over that the store has no control over the app. I eventually just left rather than waste my time.
There have been other managers that take their time to figure out the issue and it's been no problem. I just hope no one needs a refund from that manager before they figure out that they ARE...
Read moreI normally avoid this location and opt for the Chatham Parkway. Always slow and full of attitude. I was in a rush Today and decided to stop. When I got to the 2nd window I told them I had 2 sauces, they refused, then I showed them my receipt, they refused. But still they didn’t explain the situation or ask me for the change to pay for the sauce???? What happened was the young man who took my order at the drive through put the sauces under a 0.00 charge. Simple mistake on his part, no big deal, but instead of explaining that and asking me to pay for the sauce they just refused me at the 2nd window. Seriously????….. I literally have no prob paying a MEASLY 50 cent for sauce. During this entire exchange the manager gave me major attitude and trash talk as if I was one of her little employees she can talk any kind of way towards. I definitely didn’t back down, at all, and explained to her it wasn’t my fault the guy didn’t charge me and that I still wanted the sauces and was WILLING to pay for them. I asked her if she wanted the money ( as if I was an employee lol) for the sauce and gave her my card to pay for the sauce- thus issue resolved simply. The other young lady employee apologized for the managers awful behavior and looked miserable working under that manager. I feel bad for those workers. Mind you this entire time I have Mac sauce on my hands from when I was searching the bag for my sauce, cause they didn't even close the hamburger box. Just awful. The manager ought to be ashamed of herself carrying herself like that in a place of business setting a very bad example for the young up and comings. Horrible! Will not be back, EVER. How is this place still in business with all these negative reviews??? THE BERWICK AREA is way too classy for this type of rachet 😂😂, I mean...
