McDonalds In Dacula is a great restaurant for many reasons; they are family friendly, quick, cheap, and the staff is very polite. If you are looking for a place that will provide you with all of those things, then this McDonalds is the place for you to go. I have been to many different McDonalds, but none of them are as good as this one. I feel like the stereotypical McDonalds is known for being slow, dirty, rude, and is known for forgetting to give you everything you ordered. This McDonalds is none of those things. The food they sell also always amazes me. Some McDonalds just slap all the ingredients together very poorly and make a mess of the food. The McDonalds in Dacula always makes the food with care, and I never open my burgers to ketchup and mustard dripping out of it onto my hands. Like I said before, this place is very quick. When you hear the word fast food, you expect it to be fast. I have never been disappointed when it comes to the speed of this McDonalds. Sometimes it does get busy, which is expected, and you might have to wait a little longer to get your food, but it is never as long as I have had to wait at other McDonalds. Sometimes only the drive-through is busy; therefore, there is not normally many people inside. I will normally go inside when the drive through is busy because they normally will get me in and out quickly since there are barely any people inside. This McDonalds checks every box when it comes to convenience. They chose the perfect location to have this McDonalds. It is right in the middle of Dacula, so it is near everything. It is close to Kroger, Publix, and many other places of interest. It is directly next to a car shop and when your car is being worked on you can walk next door and get some food while you wait at McDonalds. It is also great because so many people live in the area, including myself, and it is very convenient to have a McDonalds so close to home if you want a quick meal. I love the staff that this McDonalds has. They have always been so polite to me no matter what the situation is. I know that the manager has a big part to play in the politeness and professionalism that this McDonalds has, and I would love to tell them how great of a job they are doing. Sometimes they may forget to put a straw in the bag if I am eating inside, or they may forget some of my sauce. It is not really that big of a deal to me, especially when I am inside, and I just go up to the counter and request what I need in the given moment. The employees always smile and give me exactly what I need. I have seen some pretty annoying requests given by customers before; no matter how annoying the request may be, they still smile and get the job done. I wish I knew his name, but my favorite employee at this McDonalds normally works the drive through at night. When you get to his window, he always has a huge smile on his face and tells you how many pennies you owe him. For example, if your order was $12.34, he would tell you that you owe him one thousand two hundred and thirty-four pennies. That always makes my night. He also makes other funny jokes as well that just makes me want to keep coming back. He is a perfect example of what the employees at this McDonalds are like. The food at this McDonalds is amazing, and for the price it seems like a steal for how good it is. They have a very good variety of food both for breakfast and for any other meal during the day. For breakfast they have different breakfast sandwiches, my personal favorite is the Bacon Egg and Cheese McGriddle, but they also have breakfast bowls and amazing hashbrowns that come as the side. The average price for a breakfast meal at this McDonalds is $4.29. The lunch and dinner menu are also around that price range. They serve nuggets, burgers, sandwiches, and fries, which they start serving at 10:30, and they also serve milkshakes. Since a lot of children like to eat at McDonalds, they have the happy meal. The happy meal is a kid sized meal that comes in a cool box for the kids, and it also comes with a toy...
Read moreI typically visit this McDonald’s location after 8 or 9 PM because the food is usually made fresh to order during that time. I’ve had good experiences in the past with the staff—especially the young lady at the speaker and the young man at the window. They are always friendly and professional. There’s also an older white gentleman who sometimes works evenings, and he’s also very kind.
However, during my most recent visit, I placed a mobile order for a 20-piece nugget. While the service at the drive-thru was pleasant, the food quality was disappointing. When I got home and opened my order, the nuggets were mushy and clearly old, like they had been sitting under the warmer for a while. This was frustrating, especially since I purposely come at night for fresh food.
I sent my brother back to exchange the order, and I told him to put me on speaker so I could explain the situation directly to the staff. Unfortunately, the manager on duty—an older Black woman with glasses—was extremely rude and dismissive. I’ve encountered her before and, unfortunately, her attitude is consistently negative. She refused to speak with me over the phone, told my brother that she didn’t need to talk to me directly, and was overall disrespectful during the entire exchange.
I want to be clear that other managers I’ve dealt with, especially the Hispanic gentleman, have always been kind, respectful, and helpful. But this particular manager’s behavior was unacceptable, and it reflects poorly on the store. If someone is repeatedly rude and clearly unhappy in their role, that’s a problem for customer service and for the business overall.
I don’t usually complain, but I was disappointed—not only with the food quality, but also with how the situation was handled. I hope this feedback reaches someone who cares about improving the customer experience at...
Read moreI don’t ever do reviews especially situations like this, but this just really frustrated me. I didn’t get the name but there was a staff (possibly a supervisor not sure) member that refused to ring up a small fry at the last window. I ordered two 6 piece nuggets, a small fry and a small sundae. I confirmed the items in my order at the first window which prompted me to believe I paid for everything I ordered. When I made it to the second window I checked and I didn’t have a small fry. So I asked if I can quickly ring up a small fry & expressed that it was confirmed at the second window. She carelessly said “no I can’t ring anything up over here”, which I didn’t see why she couldn’t ask the other staff member to ring it up. There was a line and I wasn’t going to go back around. It was also late so I couldn’t enter the lobby. It was just so frustrating because there was no real reason as to why it couldn’t be done. Just rude & careless. I understand people get tired, but part of having a job means to be considerate no matter the circumstance or situation. I was not rude at all, this person just did not care. Not to sound rude or ignorant but my best description is that she is black, blond wig or braids & and foreign (I myself am black & foreign so this...
