Smoothie King — Restaurant in Georgia

This is directed to the owner. I'm so annoyed that I literally had to write a review. I don't know who you have running your establishment, but obviously it is time for a regime change. Or maybe you need to be an owner/operator. I have been coming to this specific location for years. The management was better when the guy next door at Firehouse Subs was the manager. I can only assume you purchased it after that.

For some time now, the place has wreaked of marijuana on slow days. That also depends on who's working the counter. But that's not my concern as long as my smoothie is ready and fine. It's obvious the location is more than short-staffed. But today I ordered my smoothie in advance. When I walked in the place, once again smelled like marijuana. There was a guy sitting in the corner possibly a friend of your general manager, because he was not there waiting on a smoothie. I reached over to grab my smoothie (power punch plus) noticing it that it was extremely frothy, which anyone can see by looking at it. Took a sip and it tasted like milk, absolute liquid no consistency whatsoever. I called out to the person working the counter. Explain that it tastes like pure liquid almost milk. He asked for more details. You have the info righr in front of you on how to make these. So they are consistent across the board. He proceeded to tell me he was the GM. And I asked him if he made the smoothie. He said, yes. That was enough for me, I threw smoothie in the trash and left your establishment. He said, I could have asked to have it remade. If you don't know how to make it the first time or didn't care enough to make it correct the first time, I sure as hell didn't want you to try and make it again. And again he is the general manager of the store. My time and my money is valuable to me. If that's your general manager. The place smells like marijuana on a regular basis. There is not a soul in there. And he can't take the time to make a decent smoothie. it's time for him to go. And just to clarify, marijuana is not legal in Georgia yet . So obviously he doesn't care about your business either . He had this whole nonchalant attitude about it. And trust me when I say, I acknowledge great customer service, this was not it. Switch your staff out or sell that location. A great business only follows great leadership, and I could not get over the fact that's your GM. Sell the location to someone who cares about Customer service and repeat business. Now I will go out of my way to go to another Smoothie King. If I see that general manager add another Smoothie King there will be another review.

If that's who you are giving jobs to as a general manager, it must be a family friend. Because that is not general manager material. And I'm sure you can check your records to see how many years I've been making...

After getting my nails done next door at the nail salon I went into your store. The initial greeting was cold, and it got even colder as my time in the store continued. I placed my order for the peanut power in strawberry. The manager, a young woman, was cold to be as if I said something rudely to her.

After paying I walk over to take a seat. I asked if she could make sure that the smoothly had lots of flavor because of a past experience. She didn't acknowledge me at all until I had to walk up and ask her directly did she hear me? She looked at me as if I said...who knows?! I went towards the back asking the young man who walked out old I speak to the manager. He told me she was... That's when I told her how rude she was. She then tells me she wasn't rude? I threw my hand up and told her "No, I wouldn't complain if there wasn't a reason.' I told her I'm to old to be complaining for no reason, it's my 62nd Birthday today 5/31/25, I did a quick run out because I'meetimg friends out, so my mood was and is high! I wasn't looking for a young lady to be rude for absolutely no reason. And told her so, you're to young to be this rude.

What I want for her is to understand, you do not know who's walking into that store. I could have been a shopper rating the store, period. As Mother and an educator, it was so disappointing to witness this. Anyway, customer service is the first line of defense, it should be warm and inviting. Please, advise your staff of this. I'm a big tipper, she missed out on that.

The two stars were for my smoothie because it was delicious. Other than that, it would have been one.

Came into the store and the lady that worked there (08/26/24 at 4:40 pm) asked me if I needed to pick up an order. I said no. I should add that the store had no customers at the time. She turned her back and started to continue on the phone/online order she was working on. She did this without acknowledging me for the next 20 minutes. All awhile she was on her phone piece chatting and laughing with a friend. A second customer came in after me. She also waited in line for about 5 minutes without any acknowledgment or recognition from the sole employee that was working there. I got tired of waiting and left. When I got into my vehicle I noticed that the person behind me was getting assisted by the sole employee that was working there immediately. The customer was African American and the employee was also African American. I am Asian. I am not sure if this had anything to do with the employee deciding to ignore me for 20 straight minutes and help the African American customer out as soon as I left. I used to come here all the time when the friendly owner used to work all the time. Unfortunately I haven’t seen him in a while and not sure if this is new management. Needless to say, this is the last time I will be coming here. I’ve given them FAR far too many chances to act with decent service and get it halfway right. Last time I ordered the HS kid was suppose to give me a medium smoothie and instead, after admitting he screwed up, gave me a 20 oz and a another 20 oz that was just 20% full and thinking that these two were the equivalent of a medium somehow. I would love to see what the qualifications are to work at...
