After dining at the Thomasville, GA location, my mother, myself, my son, and my husband all became sick. My husband’s sickness was so severe that he had to be seen at the emergency room (at the time of the visit, we didn’t realize that it might be food poisoning because he got sick before the rest of us). We contacted the company and after ONE MONTH, someone from home office contacted us, and since the only thing we all had was the BBQ sauce on the table, they said they would test that bottle before determining if they thought they were liable for the emergency room bill. I mentioned at the time that since it had been a month, there was no way it was the same BBQ sauce that we had had that day. They sent us several forms to fill out that we had to pay to fax to them. They never contacted us regarding this and when we contacted them, they said that they tested the BBQ sauce and had determined that they were not liable. It’s very convenient to wait that long before following up so that there is no way you can prove it was your restaurant, and therefore get out of paying when you make people sick. We will NEVER return to another Sonny’s again. Ever. It’s not worth the $3,000+ emergency room bill for...
Read moreOur experience dining here was awful. There were three adults and two children 5&3. We waited a bit for our table. The waitress took us to our table, where they put together 2 tables that would sit 8.The tables were set long ways near the start of the booths. The tables were where all foot traffic would be and the chairs that were on that path side would have to deal with people trying to get by them. We asked for another table and the waitress that seated us just stood there and said nothing. She just gave us a look and still just stood there. Another waitress came and asked us how many once again. There was a little jibber jabber going on then the manager came over and asked how many. Believee they did not want to seat us elsewhere! Just plain rude to us. We were finally seated at a big booth which was plenty big enough for us. They saw that it was our Grandfather's birthday and never said anything to her. All we got through the whole meal was nasty looks. We have eaten here in the past and NEVER got this RUDE experience. What a happy Birthday dinner to our 3year old...
Read moreVisited the Thomasville Sonny’s for lunch recently after not having dined at Sonny’s in numerous years. In a nutshell, will not be back. Was not impressed with much of anything. Didn’t like the updated restaurant decor (it was much more homey before they updated it and changed all the booths around). Then our server barely gave us much attention or we felt rushed when he waited on us. Finally, the food was “meh” at best. Half the food such as the garlic bread & sliced pork were lukewarm or almost cool, certainly not hot as food should be! As others noted, much of the food had zero flavor, including the sliced pork and the broccoli. The broccoli had absolutely no seasoning on it! Had to add lemon & salt to the broccoli to make it taste good, though it was cooked to perfection otherwise. In a nutshell, the BBQ at Fallins is way better in flavor and service (in my opinion). Will not be back to Sonny’s. Don’t...
