Had this on my "want to try" list for a while and finally decided to give it a go. It's not your traditional 24/7 we-got-it-all kind of diner. It's more upscale, has a full bar and the food is really good. The place is nice and clean with a bubbly hostess and great wait staff. No sticky tables here!! They do have a pretty impressive menu with a wide variety like you expect at a diner but many of the menu items you wouldn't find at your corner diner! We started with the crab stuffed mushrooms and they were delicious and nicely plated. I absolutely couldn't decide between the fried chicken livers or lamb shank so we asked if they could do an appetizer of the chicken livers and they were happy to oblige! So, I got the best of both worlds! The chicken livers were cooked southern style just like I live them and served with sawmill gravy. They came out piping hot and perfectly cooked! If you've ever tried to cook these at home you know the breading, the oil temp and the time in the fryer or pan has to all be perfect or you will get an undercooked center and/or overcooked dry lump. These were perfect. The large, plate filling lamb shank also was cooked perfectly and nicely seasoned, falling off the bone right into my mashed potatoes where I scooped up every morsel of potato covered goodness! It was accompanied by mixed vegetables that were as expected for mixed vegetables. My fiancee had the chicken scallopini. It was two large chicken breasts pounded, breaded and prepared then covered in that wonderful scallopini sauce all tangy, smooth with capers. He said it too was very good and couldn't eat it all there was so much! We were so stuffed that dessert was out of the question immediately following our meal, but the key lime pie was calling my name so we ordered a (huge) slice to-go to share at home. We will definitely be back and probably even do some take-out (pick up) as a lot of people were coming in and doing. Another great go-to...

I had invited my mom out for breakfast because it was her birthday, i wanted to give her best time and give her the best treatment and this restaurant gave me the complete opposite. First of all, there was TWO STRANDS OF HAIR on my FOOD, not only my food but my brothers burger too, it ruined his appetite and so did it mine. They ruined my time and my appetite this restaurant served nothing but racism to its finest. We were a Hispanic party of 3, and waited for more than an hour. While a white family, party of 6 went in about 20 minutes after we did and got their food first in within less than 20 minutes. while we were STILL waiting for our food. We sat down at around 12:20 and the food didn’t arrive until around 1:40. Not only that, the waitress had a nasty attitude and we were getting looks from other workers there whenever they would pass around. The service is horrendous, very ugly, very poor, as much as they try to be professional, they failed at it completely. Never coming to this place again. If you’re hispanic and don’t wanna be mistreated, I DO NOT recommended coming here. Since we got mistreated I thought it was only fair if we left a small tip, matter of fact I consider it very generous of me to even leave a penny, that’s how bad it was but nah i left 3 BUCKS!! they DID NOT deserve it. ALSO!!!! The staff does not speak unless spoken too, we walked in and the host looked up and waited until I spoke and rudely spoke back. NOT ONLY THAT, we saw as other tables would get refills and my table didn’t ONCE even get offered, the first thing we received after a whole hour of waiting was waffles, MIND YOU they were cold meaning that they had already been out for a while and gave us the worst they had. This was definitely the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had, hated it,...

I have gone to this restaurant for years. Even though it just recently changed hands, the food quality, presentation, service and price range remain top notch! Unfortunately we noticed a slight change. The last time we went was last week. We were seated in the last booth along the left wall which happens to be located next to an entry into the kitchen, and the end of the bar. We have been seated there before in the past but this time it was very different. If you want to know all the 'laundry' going on, then that's the place to be. The servers congregated just to my left and discussed all kinds of things. Nothing vulgar but conversations best not shared with the patrons. And for a little 'entertainment', the bartender was 'sparing' with a female customer and at one point it appeared he mixed a drink for her to taste but she was not thrilled. It all may have been simple joking around but it gave the restaurant the atmosphere of a dive bar. At one point one of the senior servers attempted to get them to tone it down. Neither seemed particularly interested in complying, and everyone along that wall stopped what they were doing because you couldn't help noticing. I am extremely sad to say that was the worst experience we have ever had. We will continue to come because we love the food and the servers but guaranteed we will not stay if the only seating is along the wall across from the bar. Have no problem with bars...but really prefer to enjoy our meals at a location where you can hear the person you are with. I do HIGHLY recommend this restaurant, just remember location...location...location if you want to enjoy, let alone hear, your friend's...

This was one of my favorite places 2 years ago. I heard there were some ownership changes that happened and it hasn’t been the same ever since. Recently the service has been deplorable to say the least. The last time we went they had to give us plastic utensils because they were out of silverware. I think this is chalked up to what seems to be staffing issues they’ve had. Another issue is refills. It varies waiter to waiter but more often than not you’ll be begging to get another water. They just aren’t attentive enough on that front. They have a massive, massive menu so you and your party should always be able to find something you’re in the mood for. The sausage and pepper panini is God Tier and definitely worth its price. The bruschetta and fried risotto balls are also solid choices from their appetizers. If you’re able to get the risotto as a side it’s also fantastic although the last few times there’s been confusion if it’s even on the menu. Honestly pretty much everything on the menu is good outside of the gyro which was the only item I disliked from the dozen or so times we’ve been here. To sum it up this place is hit and miss. They do alright. Before I thought of it as a budget Cheesecake Factory and I’m really sorry if you missed out eating here prior to a few years ago. But I suppose now they’ve embraced their namesake of “The Diner” because a mid tier experience is all you can expect from them now.

UPDATE JUNE 19, 2025 We decided to return to the diner—this time with our children in tow. Once again, everyone enjoyed their meals, and we left with zero complaints. The highlight of our visit? Our waitress, who turned out to be Lalah again! I didn’t recognize her at first because she changed her hair (lol), but her personality was just as familiar… sweet, polite, and incredibly attentive. Lalah truly enhances the dining experience with her warmth and care. Her recommendation of the Passionately Mint drink was spot on. It tasted way better than I expected and was the perfect refreshing touch to our meal. She’s definitely one of the reasons we’ll keep coming back. ORIGINAL MAY 18, 2025 Just left this restaurant, and I have to say I was pleasantly surprised! My husband and I tried the Chicken Buffalo Wrap and the Philly Cheesesteak Wrap, both served with fries—and they did not disappoint. The flavors were spot on, the wraps were cooked to perfection, and the prices were surprisingly affordable for the quality. Our server, Lalah, truly elevated the experience. She was prompt, attentive, and incredibly sweet, making sure we had everything we needed. It’s a bit of a drive from where we live, but honestly, I could see myself making it a regular Sunday spot if it were closer. Even so, we’ll definitely be back!
