Last night was pretty disappointing for my family and me. It started off with just being seated. We heard the waitor blatantly tell the hostess "Can't you see I already have a large party and now you're giving me a party of 4?!" " I don't need anymore parties in my section!"
Now, I get that businesses are busy and understaffed but blatantly discuss your grievances of the night and yell at the hostess is unacceptable.
When I told the hostess I didn't want him as a wait or because of his demeanor and how he acted, I asked if we could be seated in a different section with a different waitor. After telling the hostess this, she told me it would be an hour wait before another table was ready.
I was already frustrated and my family was getting annoyed with the wait. I asked for a manager. Well as soon as she left to get the manager, who was literally 5 feet in front of me near the kitchen, he walked away to the back and we waited an extra 5-10 minutes for him to come back out to talk to me.
I discussed the issue with the waitor and the one hour wait after a complaint from us. The manager said the waitor is overwhelmed tonight and he was sorry for his attitude. So he got us seated pretty quick afterwards.
We were happy him deescalating the issue. I'll be honest though, the service was terrible for dinner though. We sat for 15 minutes without a menu, no silverware, and literally could not flag anyone down in the place cause no one was on the floor for long periods of time.
Food was great though as usual! But the service was probably the worst service I've experienced in a very long time and I hardly complain about restaurants. I will say, I won't be going back to this particular Red Robis because even though the manager did get us in quicker, the experience was so bad, I'll go.to the Red Robin's about 30 minutes further from us just to avoid the issues...
Read moreToday I decided to give red robin a try. I wanted something different and the location is convenient. When I walked in I was greeted by..no one.. the hostess came and took me to my seat. Shortly after the waitress came and said she was the only waitress and service is a little slow, I was okay with that. I went to the restroom and figured she would come back to take my drink order... she never came back.. I waited and then a man and a child were seated next to me an the hostess came and gave them drinks.. I told her I would be right back and after she brought their drinks she never came to offer me a drink although I was there first. They were literally sitting right next to me and she at least served them drinks ... I still waited and the waitress never came.. the hostess started wiping tables but never addressed me. Finally after waiting forever I got up after seeing the ppl who got there before me didn't have anything either. The hostess said you don't want food? I told her I was tired of waiting without any kind of service.. she was nice enough to serve the non Black patrons but not me although I was there first. I could see the kitchen staff nobody was doing nothing. I eat out a lot abs have never experienced such inconsiderate and unprofessional service. The menu isn't even that big its mostly burgers, how long does it take to ask ppl what kind of drink or burger? I ended up going to chillis where I always get quick and friendly service.. and don't feel like I'm am inconvenience... I ended up leaving a big tip at chillis.. there is a lot of other places to eat.. save your time and go somewhere that actually wants your service. You lost a customer for life! Also the bucket used for bussing tables was just...
Read moreNot sure if I want to even give 3 stars. We walked in greeted I asked for a booth but I guess the bigger ones was taken (we had our 3 month old baby) they sat us right next to the kitchen which was fine no biggie. Our waitress came to our table about 10 minutes later to get our drink order. Ordered the bottomless strawberry lemonade at $4.49 each person. And at the same time ordered our food. Food took about 15 minutes we were very surprised st the fast turnaround.... here's where things go south.... the first initial plate with our fries was extremely small. Me and my husband just looked at each other like really. Now on top of it he added garlic Parmesan to his fries for $1.50 extra. My 7 year old daughter thought it was funny because the fries portion was so small she said mommy those can be for me it's not that many. The same was for both of our plates. My daughter had the kids chicken fingers (2) and apple slices (4) in a cup. I had to stop the young lady for a refill on the "bottomless lemonade & the fries". She brings out an even smaller order of fries than the initial size I had with my burger. Still no lemonade had to remind her. She walks away before we could ask for refill on my husbands fries. By the 3rd round of fries I was ready to leave but here's the kicker we got more fries in a to go box than sitting at the table. We have gone to this location several times over the years but never had anything like this before. I guess if the company is cutting way down on "bottomless" then just stop it all together. I wouldn't be recommending Red Robin to friends and family. We did tip the young lady who seemed to be a new waitress $7...
