I came into this location on 9/3/22 around 6 or 7pm for a smoothie. The staff that was in seem irritated that customers were coming in., Staff did not greet anyone but a young male who seem as if he was a friend of the employees and was only there to hang out. As I waited over 10 mins to receive my purchase, the young male left out and returned store in the store several time's. I became suspicious of the behavior. I went to the restroom and it was locked so I asked the employee which was two white young females of i could use the restroom and if I needed a key. One of the employees went to the restroom and knocked, all of a sudden the door opens. The employee went in for about 3 to 5 minutes, as she returned she didn't take off her gloves. I asked again if I could use the restroom.The employee acted irritated again as she walked back to the restroom and knocked a few times on the door.She walks inside and OMG ..about 5 to 6 white females came out the restroom together laughing as they sat at the tables with the young male. I immediately said I didn't want that employee making my smoothie and I took pictures. Very unsanitary and I didn't drink my smoothie I threw it away as I walked out. Read moreI’ve been coming to this location almost once a week for the past year on lunch and the quality of everything seems to have progressively gone downhill. My flatbreads are a mess and the biggest problem is the smoothies are consistently watered down. It makes me not want to come here anymore. It’s pretty obvious there’s not enough good ingredients or balance of ingredients being used and too much ice. I don’t know if it’s the change of staff or what but the past few weeks every smoothie I’ve gotten, and it’s different ones I’ve tried, has tasted watered down. Please fix this, as I love TS, no matter which location, and don’t want to start going somewhere else.
*EDIT: The location seemed to get better for a moment and now I’m getting bad smoothies again. If I’m paying more than $9 for a smoothie, then it better be a premium one. Got the Avocolada, which I get frequently, and it’s filled with small ice chunks. It’s grainy in texture, not smooth and totally lacking in flavor. All I’m tasting is the pea protein that I added. Read moreAs many can see, the food quality of the café in recent times has severely decreased. But that's not the only issue. The "upper" staff in this facility aren't at all professional, nor do they care.
One worker, a highschooler, is being forced to work 6 days a week, whereas there are fully capable adults who work one or two shifts a week.
One of the employers in particular does not care for their workers. Just recently, a disabled kitchen member requested some sort of accommodation for their disability, especially after informing the employer from the beginning in their interview that they are in-fact disabled.
The employer refused and blatantly ghosted their request, before then firing them (who was being forced to train new employees despite not actually being trained themself) because they physically couldn't turn up to another shift that week (4th / 5th) because they were in severe pain and in a bad way as a result of their poor accommodating positions.
Another ex-staff member was fired because she didn't present a "doctor's note" as reason for why she didn't come to work, despite that not being the case, and she had proof of such fact.
