Waffle House — Restaurant in Georgia

We've been going to Waffle House for decades, most of the time we've gotten great service. We went to the Waffle House located at Glade Road ( our favorite location to eat ) and there was MANY people awaiting for a booth & the workers ( if you can call them a WORKER) was young people in their late teens to late 20 years old behind the counter. None of them wanted to clear the tables so other people could eat. It was like they were seeing who would be the one who would clean up the tables & NONE OF THE WAFFLE HOUSE EMPLOYEES WOULD CLEAN UP SO OTHERS COULD EAT.....WE LEFT AND SO DID THE REST OF THE PEOPLE WAITING TO BE SERVED. ......THIS HAPPENED ON A SUNDAY MORNING IN LATE JULY. IT ALMOST RUINED WAFFLE HOUSE FOR US FOREVER. We finally decided to give Waffle House another try & I am HAPPY to report that older people were working there & it only took a few minutes to get a table & the service was good & the food was great. So if you decide to go to Waffle House, make sure that the employees are NOT the young rude...

I learned something new today about WH. First off I decided a few weeks ago I cannot go in, and sit for very long to eat there because its just to cold. I shouldn't have to wear a coat to eat my meal. I have a sensitivity to heat and cold air. It makes me sick. So I came in to order. Service was fast, but they forgot part of my order, and I didn't check before I left, I got all the way home to find out my chili was missing. I went to pay and was asked for a tip on the register, only to find out that they are also charging me a 4.25 to-go charge, on top of expecting me to tip. Not happening. 21.25 for my meal and they took 4.25 for the to-go order, and then wanted another 4.25 for the Tip. 8.50 in charges for a meal that costs 21.25 ? Seriously just lost...

This was absolutely the worst service wasn't acknowledged for 20+ min or greeted at any point ...we were at 2 tables ..one table got drinks the other didn't get drinks until out food was almost ready ...didn't get food all at one time ..came out literally one thing at a time ..the cook and waitresses were fussing about customers coming in..saying "these people need to go ....I am an assistant manager for captain D's and for no reason should the customers here that and worked for waffle House for 4 years ...they unplugged the phone and said no to go orders ....very unprofessional and will not return to...
