Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Acworth

EXTREMELY RUDE .... SCREAMING MANGER......I needed to order 30 pizzas, so I called this store at 3:42PM to make sure that was okay, and to see how much notice the store needed to fulfill the order. When I called the first time, the manager was beyond accommodating, and told me to call at least 2 hours before closing ( 9pm). I called at 8pm, to put the orders in, and when I told them the size of the order, I was handed to the manager. From there I was met with the a manager named " JENNIFER" who was sounded as if I interrupted her sleep, and was bothering her. I told her I needed the orders at 1030PM and needed to have someone pick them up, and she immediately began to tell me what I couldn't do, and store policy. To clarify, I asked her the procedure of picking up after 10pm, and she begin to yell at me, and would not let me speak. I then asked her why she is yelling, when I spoke in a normal tone. She was continued her yelling rant about my safety is more important than food. This was her response when she told me she locks the front doors at 10PM, and before she let me know that there was a drive-thru. So, I asked her how do I get the food if she locks up at 10. In the middle of the speaking , she slammed the phone down and put me on hold, then handed me to a great guys named CHRIS, who was beyond nice and helpful. While Chris was taking my order, all I could hear was JENNIFER in the back ground so rudely coaching him on what I could and couldn't do with the order..thru the entire ordering process. CHRIS was very polite, and confirmed my order, and confirmed my pickup time. This past week a new Manager called me and took it upon herself to tell me things have changed for the good at this location . She apologized immensely for the service we had received in the past, the food we received and for the way things have been handled . That took a lot of heart, to randomly cold call customers and apologize. I gave the score 3 stars because of her words, will update once I order again and see if her word is as good as she seemed. Worst place to buy Pizza , today will be my last time ordering from them. I have waited over an hour , and watched the Tracker they sent a link to , the driver was 3 mins from my house and he turned around and went back towards the store . Putting him another 15 mins away . When I called the store they told me he was on his way , and he would be there soon , when I explained I had been watching the tracking system , they simply said HE IS ON HIS WAY. This is an on-going thing and has been off and on bad service for 4 years now . The pizza has been slightly burned at times or under cooked , as well . I will from now on get in my car and drive for better pizza , rather than play this game of whether the service could be better today . its not going to get any better . I wish there was an option to give this store not even a star but a negative 0. An employee came from the back and took my order. Who knows what he was he doing. After he took my order he didn’t wash his hands he just started making my pizza, and their sink is literally up front. I will say he had good customer service as far as attitude. I so had a craving for papa johns that night so I tried to ignore it in my mind. While I’m waiting on my pizza to cook another employee is sweeping the floor. As he’s sweeping he takes one (bare) hand off the broom handle and uses that same bare hand and pushes the remaining cheese that spilled on top of the ingredients table back into the compartment, where they pull the toppings from. Who does that?????? Just nasty. And I’m standing there watching. So I asked for my money back and got my full refund and jetted out that door. I complained to corporate but I see it didn’t do any good because I see another review that happened more recently AFTER my experience of the same situation.
