Their lobby is still closed and they make their employees wear a mask.
The owner reached out to me and unfortunately the link provided I cannot access.
You can read it for yourself, but it is not about the health and safety of employees and customers.
Before making unilateral decisions, I feel that the owner to do more than just trust what the government tells them. There are competing studies that have been done that show that masking and social distancing is a useless proposition to prevent infection of covid-19.
The average age of the mployees are either high school kids or early 20s. The statistics show an overwhelming favor that they have nothing to fear or worry about. This owner is only perpetuating a culture of fear and unnecessary safety precautions which in turn are in reality harming their long-term mental health as well as their regular health. Those masks are not being replaced every 15 minutes which means they are contaminated with bacteria cultures that are then being breathed on to every customer's food all day long.
This is why we breathe freely. The 1918 Spanish flu pandemic and resulting scientific studies after showed without question that wearing mask did nothing to stop the spread of the flu. If they did then we would have conquered the flu many years ago. We haven't in the flu still exist, even if they are not counting it this year.
Again, I implore that you open the lobby because other businesses are doing so successfully and allow your employees and customers to choose. It is no more your right to tell your employees what to do in regards to their health as well as your customers, as it is anybody else's. The only one who gets to choose is the individual and they have the right to decide what is and is not safe for them.
I love dairy Queen and the staff there is fantastic and wonderful. All I ask is that you treat them like the men and women they are and stop giving in to the fear culture that has enveloped us. Look at the dashboard, read the statistics and do research above and beyond the CDC guidelines.
They have a right to choose, do not take away that freedom and that Liberty and that right to decide what is best for each individual. Your employees wearing a mask and your lobby being closed does not make me feel safe, it fills me and countless others with a silent resentment that I will no longer keep quiet about.
This is called living life and you cannot live life in a bubble or you're not living at all, you are merely existing.
Also I challenge you to ask your employees to tell the truth without fear of repercussion. Ask them how many times they came to work feeling under the weather and how many times they've hit it just so they don't have their store get closed or be forced to take two weeks off from work without pay? I bet you if you did that you would have a sobering response if they knew that they would not get in trouble whatsoever or there would be no repercussions for their honesty.
If you have ever seen the show house, there is something that the great doctor on the show loves to say every episode.
Everybody lies.
Nobody wants to be that employee that gets their store shut down or their colleagues forced to stay home for 2 weeks without pay. They are only conforming because they have to in order to pay their bills.
So please, save your safety garbage or public relations. It isn't going...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy hubby went there twice tonight because a couple reasons. To begin with, he waits in the drive thru starts his order and they are out of a bunch of things. Second, as he was ordering and got to his sixth item, he was then told he canāt order anymore Items , if he needed to order more items he would need to go inside and order. Well screw that bc he had two of our kids and he was frustrated and just stopped ordering and moved on. They came home and they didnāt get the order right and wanted to make sure my hubby got an ice cream. He went back same rudeness and more items they ran out of. When he tried mentioning the forgotten items at the window they could care less and just gave him his order. Very disappointed. I usually donāt mind going to this location but seeing my hubby so upset and disappointed and how he was treated is...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI finally found a DQ that still has Orange Julius! I burst through the door with the desperation of a man that hasn't tasted a strawberry banana Julius for at least six weeks. Wearily, I stagger to the counter and asked for the delicious sweet nectar while gasping for air. I expected them to tell me that they only have milkshakes despite the moniker on the building clearly stating Orange Julius. I was shaken to my core when they began to make the frosty beverage with no excuses.
While this DQ is way off my route to my office, I'm contemplating leaving my job so that I can be closer to this store. I'll buy a sharpie and make a sign asking for spare change just so I can feed my addiction.
Thank you DQ! You've renewed my faith...
