I've been going here for a few years now sporadically and everytime I go in with a design the nail techs do a very good job at matching it. I usually have a pretty pleasant experience except this last one. I was very disappointed on my visit yesterday 8/24 just by the interaction with the nail tech. Initially when she sat down, I didn't get her name, she already seemed annoyed and it may be the fact that I was there at 4pm for an appointment for a full set. It was close to closing time and the way she moved the supplies with a bit of aggression, making loud sounds when setting things down and tossing things, gave off a very bad vibe. I am not one generally to complain about things but when she glued on one nail, it appeared to me to be crooked, so I asked about it, and instantly her face was annoyed. She insisted it was the way my nail was and reluctantly took it off and reapplied a new one, showing me that it was the way that my nail was because it was angled the same as the previous. I insisted it still looked crooked to me. She got attitude and I let her know that I felt like she was getting irritated with me. She explained that she was because it was straight on my nail. So at this point, she's acknowledging the fact that she is irritated with me and then says that she will get somebody else to apply it for me. At this point I really wanted to just get up and walk out the door and not get my nails done at all, but I am due to leave for a very exciting trip to costa rica and really wanted to have my nails done. So I sat through the entire experience very uncomfortable. Every time she asked about anything, I just kind of shrugged it off and just told her whatever was there was fine. I don't really understand why she would ask if something's okay if from the experience prior she gets frustrated if I complain about something. On top of the fact that she had multiple other nail techs over speaking in their native language which made me feel like they were talking crap about me. They may or may not have been, but the way that it is viewed by the customer is that they don't want you to understand what they're saying, because they are saying bad things. I feel like it would be best practice for a business to not do this. My set cost me $145 before tip and even despite the horribly uncomfortable situation I sat through I still tipped her $25. I do want to note that the receptionist was very friendly and welcoming. She offered me water when I sat down and showed interest in why I was there. This experience makes me want to shop elsewhere and try to find a new salon to go to which is very disappointing because every other experience has been good and they are very talented and match almost every design i've brought in. Next time I want to get my nails done I will be reluctant to want to...
Read moreThe place is cute they offer great designs the people are friendly. HOWEVER, you will pay the premium. Ask for quote BEFORE moving forward. Not all people are treated equally. My stylist Tina and I looked at a design on Pinterest and picked one and I wasn’t trying to be picky to make it easier for her and I was a little indecisive.
Preface: dip on my natural nail with design $85 They charged me $20 because she did curve on the French tip which was not discussed or asked for, and $20 for animal print. Plus tip. I walked out paying $105 for dip on my natural nail!!!!!
I called to speak with the owner, they said they would not do anything and he justified that this was standard and reasonable and I should have asked for price first to agree before stating. My places I go to costs me $45/$50 for ombré dip with glitter or simple detail. The work is more detailed too and less aggressive on my natural nail. Message me if you want referrals because apparently, his idea and my idea of standard pricing is not the same.
One more thing. My friend goes there and gets acrylic fill plus design and gems, and never pays more than $65. This was my expectation, which I would have been okay with. But nope! $20 to curve a white line. Let my experience help you before getting price gouged the way I did.
Check out the details on the cuticles and around the mail edge… sarcasm!!!!! This is also after I filled down the rough unfinished edges. The back edge was not polished off and lifted and chipped after a week.
Dip typically lasts me 4weeks. With this job I got a week before it started falling and 2 weeks before they started getting in bad shape.
I hope this helps someone avoid...
Read moreSo at first I felt horrible because every pricing thing was outrageously expensive and I have a minimum wage job. So I felt bad for asking for so many quotes. They were nice about it hence the one star. But I left crying because I was looking for a more wintery design, instead I came out with beach looking nails, with some random gems and horrible sparkles nothing looked like the picture. I don’t know how often they clean their things but I got an INFECTION yes. An INFECTION on TWO FINGERS! I messaged them and told them. I don’t want to sue or anything I kinda wanted my 95 dollars back but I just wanted them to be aware that what they use is cause for concern. They basically brushed it off and were like “our stuff is CDC approved and she said you didn’t have any cuts so.” Basically was the text back I got. And one my fingernails are very weak so if there was cuts she missed wouldn’t be surprised but if they need to see the urgent care packets I received then sure. But just be careful...
