1 Star for poor customer service and rude manager. I love these order what you want personal pizza places. A friend told me Mod was the best, so I had to try it. It was a Saturday and busy, but the staff seemed as though any question was a bother to them. No customers seemed unhappy or bothered though, everyone patiently waiting and chatting with their group. When I got to the end to pay I told the cashier, I forgot to order a small salad he said okay and charged us. When the name was called the manager went into a whole monologue about how 1 of the 4 pizzas got messed up. According to him, even though the oven is cleaned the crust sticks and of course it’s a busy Saturday, so they were remaking my pizza “on the house” I listened to him rant and told him that was fine. I asked if I needed to go over my order to which he says no, he wrote down my ingredients, which didn’t make me too happy because I like saying easy this a bit more of that since it’s a build your own place! I asked him about my salad and he looked frazzled even more and said okay. So my whole family is eating and I finally get mine called, it looked a little burnt IMO, but whatever, and I ask about my salad again. He tells me to tell the cashier what I want. Mind you, first time here, other places I went to had premade salads and I assumed I’d get the small one listed on the menu. Anyway I name off my veggies. I ask the cashier what her manager meant by the pizza being on the house and she says oh I don’t know maybe he’ll take it off later. This makes no sense to me but again whatever. Salad comes out minutes later. So when I get it I ask the same manager about him saying the pizza was on the house. His response was they were remaking it on the house. Well no Sh*t you’re making it on the house I never got the actual pizza I ordered and made. That’s not “on the house” that’s remaking my order you f’d up. I rolled my eyes and walked off. Did not enjoy my pizza I was so upset at the whole experience. Nice first impression. The manager needs to learn customer service. Not a people place like the motto states. Bad pizza. Bad customer service. Bad manager. We dropped nearly $40 to have a...
Read moreWe walked in. No line. Plenty of staff. The girl at the counter was not friendly at all. She didn’t look at us either. She took our order begrudgingly. My husbands pizza was super sparse but he didn’t ask for more stuff and that’s on him. He felt odd and she was off putting. After the girl made them the manager was rearranging them. I think he was trying to redeem them. Overall this place is good. The pizzas were cooked perfectly. The crust was so wonderful The person on charge of pizza cooking is skilled. I had the double crust. So good. The location is great. Interior is too loud really to enjoy your meal though. But it has a patio. Except the patio was not clean or organized. Despite ample staff. The tables were scattered and dirty. There was no garbage on them, but no chairs were pushed in, tables were misaligned, table tops were greasy and crumby. There were napkins on the floor that I cleaned up after I wiped and straightened the table. The soda area was clean and organized. The floors were clean. The girl cutting the pizza was friendly and smiled. I like the pizza a lot and the quality of the crust, the crust options and the topping variety are what sells the place. The young blonde’ish girl may need a refresher lesson on customer service. I will Come again. Usually the place is kinda messy but the people are usually nice and the food is...
Read moreMaybe you aren't familiar with the concept at MOD. It's like a Chipotle or Costa Vida, but for pizza. You go down the line and add your toppings, and then the staff cooks it in a large oven. The price is per pizza, so you can add as many toppings as you want.
And wow, there are a lot of toppings to choose from! You could be boring and just do pepperoni and olives and bell peppers. Or you could just get crazy. You could go with spicy sausage and jalapeños and buffalo sauce if you want to be spicy. You could do artichokes and anchovies. They even have strawberries and cucumbers. If you're stuck and not feeling creative, there's a board with suggestions for "MOD favorites" when you walk in.
There's also salads, and breadsticks, and drinks. The Marion Berry Lemonade is DELICIOUS.
I wanted to give you some detail about the concept because it seems like y'all don't know how good MOD is. When I go to MOD back home, it's always hopping. When we went to this location tonight, it was dead. We thought it was closed for dine-in. Good news though, it's open! The staff was friendly and the food is good. Go...
