Wendy's — Restaurant in Gilbert

So. I work at a fast food restaurant and was very dissatisfied with my experience here. The manager took one order at a time, waited for it to get cooked and placed on the counter before taking another order. The line was to the door and it took me probably 15-20 minutes just to order my food. This is a FAST food restaurant, not a stand in line for a long time restaurant! I saw probably 10 customers walk in, look at the line and leave. That's a lot of lost business. I felt bad for them. A couple people in line left, went to Raising Canes, and came back and we had barely moved in line. I believe the manager was taking so long to order for 2 reasons. The first reason was that he honestly didn't even know how to take orders...it took him very long and he concentrated so hard he stuck his tongue out while doing so!! Hahaha The second reason is that Wendy's has a policy (or goal rather) to not have more than three orders at a time on their screen (to encourage their quick speed of service). Well, to make their speed of service look good (or rather himself look good as a manager), he took each order one at a time. Sorry I know it's Wendy's and we all don't expect much from it but c'mon, I could've taken orders...

Every other time I come here, some facet of my order is wrong. Just today, I go to get a 4 for 4. I ask for my usual large drink with no ice with it, and I see my order reflected accurately on the screen. So far, so good. I get to the window and the lady hands me my drink filled with ice (not the first time either). It was corrected soon enough but I am glad I asked for extra sauce on a whim because they forgot the sauce I asked for too. And the real kicker is the girl forgot to give me a straw when she finally handed me back my drink so I had to park, get out of my car and walk inside to get one. This location and the other on Arizona and Ocotillo frequently mess up my order and I will definitely be hesitant about coming to these locations in the future. I love the food, it's the service that needs some work. And, of course, I didn't get a receipt but after knowing how often they get stuff wrong, I can see why they wouldn't want to...

Im rating this in the middle because I've had 50/50 experiences here! I love me some Wendy's and their 4 for $4 deals are great. And the spicy nuggets are great too... when they're fresh! There tends to be long line at the drive thru later in the evening. And it moves slowly... but my food tends to be good. Now, I was finally able to get breakfast from this location this morning and there was only one car in the drive thru! Yes! Got my food quickly.. once I was handed my hot coffee I noticed right away I couldn't feel the warmth thru the cup. Once I got home, I pop the lid off and stuck my finger in. COLD! I had to throw it in the microwave. The seasoned potatoes were great! Wish they served these during the day. The biscuit & gravy was good too. The classic egg, bacon and cheese sandwich was plain. It wasn't terrible but it wasn't the best either. Really small too! I'm definitely try something...
