Don’t promise a customer anything!
I was in the parking lot and i was about to place my order, but decided to call your store because more times than I can count, my order has been given incorrectly and this is in regards to the bread . I know the owner has instructed her staff not to make more than a certain amount of Parmesan bread but many of us after 4 o’clock want a sandwich and want to have Parmesan bread as our choice. I have been more than patient because your overall staff is great and apologetic but today two of the girls refused to say who spoke to me on the phone and stayed quiet. The least the young lady who spoke to me on the phone could’ve done was taken responsibility for not communicating with her coworkers, apologized and I would’ve walked away as mistakes happen but she stayed quiet!
I do not like plain white bread and told the girl who answered the phone the situation. She assured me there was Parmesan bread and I asked her to check because I’ve been told that in the past and when I show up, there is no more Parmesan bread and it’s substituted with white. She said one large piece was left and I asked her to pull it. Well, long story short someone who was in line ordered their sandwich (after I placed my order) with Parmesan bread and was given the bread that was promised to me. I literally saw their sandwiches being made as I walked into the store. My order was placed 15 mins prior. Come to find out, a sandwich was being made for me but, with white bread which I declined to take. I get you’re busy but that’s no excuse, that’s why I called prior to placing the order in the app.
The last time it was substituted for white bread, I didn’t find out until it was delivered so I gave it away to a neighbor. The time prior to that it was fine, the time prior to that we checked it in store and it was the wrong bread so we decided not to take it. Refund took weeks to get back on two sandwich. The time prior to that it was again delivered to me and it was the wrong bread so I found homeless people to give it away too and that was THREE large sandwiches. I generally purchase the sandwiches that cost nearly $20 every time!
Your sandwiches are not free and today I said … since I am already here and the sandwich was again made incorrectly, can I have that last piece of small parm bread that was on the counter but instead, was given a card for a free small sandwich. I asked again but (who I can only assume was) the supervisor said I could turn in the free card but let me ask you management… why should I turn in that card when at no fault of mine YOUR STORE runs out of parm bread time and time again?
After all the times you guys have made mistakes and this is the first time you guys have ever remedied it with this free small sandwich card.why not ask me what else can I do to make you happy. I’m obviously pissed so here the end result.
I really like the sandwiches from Jersey Mike’s so that’s why I go back but the owner, needs to step up and let employees make more Parmesan bread because not everyone likes the other kinds of bread and this is a BUSY store and being such… running out of bread because it’s busy shouldn’t be an excuse!
Again, your sandwich are not cheap nor are they free so I don’t understand why we should be forced to eat something we don’t want and pay for! If your store doesn’t have a certain kind of bread, then you should somehow on the app state you are out like Panera does and/or call the customer and don’t just assume someone’s going to eat a different bread. Some people just don’t like...
Read moreI enjoy Jersey Mike's a LOT. Compared to the other 'sub' chains, Jersey Mike's is WAY about the rest. As such, it saddens me to have to give this location a 1-star rating.
The crew working here is the ABSOLUTE SLOWEST I have ever come across. Compounding the matter further, several times, I observed them talking to each other, instead of working on the orders that were supposed to be working on, causing the line to get longer & longer. It's not as if there weren't enough employees on hand (there were at least 5 that I'm aware of). I'm the time I was there, I observed 3 people walk out because the employees were taking too long.
When I first arrived, there was one could having their order taken, and behind them was a father with 2 sons. All of them were ordering cold subs. I, on the other hand, was waiting to order a hot sub...except that the person on the grill had walked away, not even nothing to ask if anyone wanted a hot sub. It's as if he fully expected the person slicing meat, as well as making the bottom-half of the cold subs, to take all orders, and only once he had a hot sub order would the grill person bother to get off his arse, walk over to the grill, and start doing his job. Even in prepping to make my sandwich, he was super-slow, grabbing cheese slices on at a time, and laying it on the board, before grabbing the next slice.
Regarding the father with 2 sons, all 3 has ordered the exact same sandwich. The bottom halves were made as they should be...but, the person making the top halves seemed to have NO clue what 'prioritizing' means. Instead of adding each ingredient/topping to all 3 subs, and then moving onto the next ingredient/topping, she worked only on one sub through completion, then the second sub through completion, and finally the third sub through completion. In the end, it has to have taken her at least twice as long as it would have had she 'prioritized'. This not only costs a business customers, but is also costs the franchise owner in "wasted time".
Needless to say, while there are countless other Jersey Mike's locations I will GLADLY go to, I will NEVER return to this location. Additionally, I will warm others to stay away from this location. If the owner and/or manager of this location happens to read this, the best things you can probably do is a complete 'housecleaning'. In my early years of working, I worked for a could fast food places, and several restaurants. I've also held managerial & supervisory positions. And, I can tell you, if I discovered my employees 'working' as this crew was, is already be working hard to replace them with employees more capable of performing their duties as...
Read moreI’m very disappointed in the service I received while eating here tonight. I came here for dinner with a friend, and we got similar but different, key word different, sandwiches. The workers were very friendly, and we received our food in a timely fashion, so we thought all was well. Turns out, all was indeed not well. They put my friend’s sandwich in the bag that was labeled as my sandwich, and vice versa. We didn’t discover this faux pas until it was too late. This was extremely upsetting to me. While this may seem minor, some people are holding on by a very thin thread, and this may be what causes it to snap. I hope the workers at this location learn how to properly label the sandwiches, so another person’s night is not ruined by the incorrect sandwich. You could imagine my shock and horror when I realized the sandwich I was eating wasn’t mine. There are some times where I think the universe is against me, and this incident confirmed this theory for me. I hope everyone reading this has a better night then I did, even the fateful employees who caused this horrible, dreadful, crushing of the...
