Update: this place has gone down hill in value and time efficiency. There used to be one guy always working. He was friendly and efficient. I have not seen him in months. The last few times I have come in there has been two people who struggle to produce food in a timely manner. The portion size has drastically shrunk on the proteins. Personally, I would rather have a business raise their prices and than reduce their food volume. I just had a lady bicker with me about my regular order when I asked her why it wasn't the same? She tried telling me that I was ordering something different, even though it's the same thing I've been ordering there for the last half dozen times I went. If you do go, order double (maybe even triple) on the protein if you want anything remotely close to the previous portion sizes. As far as the time issue goes, only order in person if you have at least 30 minutes to wait. If I choose to go back, I will order online first due to their inability to manage their production time efficiently. They're still one of the better food places in Gilroy but I am highly disappointed.

We love Olives for their fresh, flavorful, healthy food. I love everything. My husband & oldest teen love falafel. I’m usually a kabob or gyro gal but my husband proclaimed these to be his favorite of all time 😱 After that very bold statement, I decided to try them and now it’s all I order!! You can tell they are homemade because you can taste the spice and garlic. They are perfectly crispy and we usually have to order extra. The sides are fabulous. Fresh salad, tasty olives, feta, hummus and amazing garlic sauce. Most places I order ahead and pick up but I don’t mind waiting at Olives because it’s like a trip to a foreign market. A little bit of a wait, as there were only 2 people in the back. Maybe a good 20-minute wait for 2 Gyro rolls. The size was ok, it could've been thicker and a bit wider with a little more veggies and a lot more of the pickle sauce or dill sauce they had. Rolled up nice and tight, but overall was decent choice in comparison to what is out there. But will update after comparing it with Nick the Greek.

Update 6 months later: A great place to stop by with a great selection of simple foods as a good toasted gyro, when you're in the mood and on 101 be sure to stop by just a quick off and on near bestbuy. Get yourself a toasted wrap gyro with a little more veggies added and more tzatziki and a nice Pellegrini can, you're golden. Still one of the best place to stop by off...
