Has anyone ever gotten a replacement order when your order was incorrect and the server insisted that you give him the incorrect item so he could throw it away? In all of my 50+ years, I have never heard of nor experienced this. But, it just happened at this Sonic. Unbelievable! Even after I told him that I had already eaten most of it and asked him if he was going to re-sell it, he wouldn't give me the replacement without getting the original one from me. It wasn't the wrong product, just the wrong size. And, since we didn't get a receipt, I wanted to make sure we didn't pay for the larger size. But, before I could say that, the very enthusiastic kid said he would bring me another one. He failed to tell me however, that I was supposed to spend the 10 minutes spent waiting for the new shake sitting there holding it and not consume it so he could wastefully toss it in the trash. Not to mention that he wanted to handle a partially eaten shake for no good reason during a pandemic! Since he was so persistent in his insistance I said, "Well, if you insist..." At which point, he quickly grabbed it up and flew away. 🤣 Unreal! Also, the kid who originally took our order sounded really annoyed to be bothered with us. Read moreI wouldn't normally post a negative review based on 1 experience, but tonights experience was completely awful. First, we waited a lot longer than usual because there was confusion as to which stall we were at. That was fine though, I completely understand that stuff happens, not even a big deal. So then our food comes out and there waa confusion on our order well. Still though, not a big deal. But when our order came out finally it was not in a bag and the car hop just handed over the boxes and walked away. No bag. No napkins. Just the boxes. Oh and inside the boxes, cold, burnt chicken tenders. There is no excuse for handing over someones meal at a fast food facility without a bag. And there is definitely no reason anyone should be given burnt and cold food. I get that the staff might have been frustrated that we ordered wrong and asked them to fix it, but that's no excuse. never was i rude towards anyone or disrespectful, and i was extremely patient the entire time because i know what food service is like and i know it sucks.
