The waitress that sat us was very friendly and helpful throughout the entire meal. However, she was not our waiter, she proceeded to help us when we couldn't get ahold of our waiter. The kids burgers were burn and hard. Both young children were only able to eat two bites of burger and just ate their sides. Kids Chocolate milk had no chocolate in it, the hostess was kind enough to give us some chocolate sauce to add to the milk. Next the rest of our table ordered burger with fries and I'm sorry to say there were barely any fries. It looked like they might be running out of fries and needed to make them last through dinner shift. I ordered the soup which had good flavor but was the consistency of a gloomy canned soup. Last straw was the ice cream. Never in my entire life of taking my family to Friendly's for ice cream have I seen such a small serving of ice cream for every size served. My son's and daughter had a child size, and I kid you not we had to actually look down into the dish to find the ice cream. I mean usually you can look across the table and see that someone is having chocolate or vanilla ice cream, right? Not this time! It was ridiculous. I got a happy ending Sunday for my mother and the same thing was true for her serving as well. There was barely any ice cream but that's not the worse part. When we tasted it...the ice cream was spoiled (I guess the flavor we picked is not popular.). I did let the hostess know and asked if I could get a to go cup of vanilla ice cream with caramel instead for my mom. She was very apologetic and kind and told our waiter. However our waiter literally gave us 1 actual scoop of vanilla plain in a to go cup. Not a happy ending sundae of vanilla ice cream and caramel to go, which is what we paid for. And we didn't find that out until we returned home so there was no point in trying to fix it then. Sadly, we will not be...
Read moreWent to Friendly’s tonight to get ice cream, and unfortunately had to leave without getting any or even being served. We decided to go to the front window to order, and saw 3 other customers waiting in front of us. We all were told someone would be with us shortly, but nobody ever came to the window. Finally, the one customer stated he was a delivery driver for Door Dash, in which the Friendly's employee lashed out and blamed the young man for not speaking up earlier...which he stated he did over 20 minutes ago. This became an argument which the woman made the customer feel as though it was somehow his fault that the order wasn’t ready and for not speaking up again. Finally, an elderly couple got asked by this woman what they wanted, the lady stated a scoop of mint chocolate chip in a cup, the lady repeated the order incorrectly, customer repeated it, and again the lady lashed out and said “YOU SAID IT 2 TIMES YOU DONT NEED TO REPEAT YOURSELF”. This was followed by more arguments about the order which I was shocked an employee would act this way towards an elderly couple. My mom and I were so shocked, disgusted, and didn’t want to support a business that would treat people this way so we left. Disappointing that people have to treat one another with disrespect, come on Friendly’s staff, get some manners or don’t have the option of a quick service window if you can’t handle...
Read moreDuring a recent visit to your restaurant with clients who have disabilities, the Manager approached our table to express concerns regarding the tipping patterns associated with our group. It was conveyed that servers often receive lower tips when our patrons dine at the establishment. However, it is important to note that the level of service provided did not meet professional standards.
Our clients appreciate their dining experiences, and it is troubling to perceive that they are being singled out due to their financial limitations. Furthermore, we were surprised to observe a note on the bills indicating that a 15% gratuity was mandatory. This practice appears to be inappropriate and may deter individuals with similar circumstances from returning to the restaurant.
It is vital to foster an inclusive atmosphere that respects all patrons, irrespective of their financial situation. We hope this feedback can contribute to improved service practices and enhance the overall dining experience...
