Liscio's Italian Bakery & Deli — Restaurant in Glassboro

We read many reviews that spoke only of the service but not of the food. So let me start by saying the service was great. Several people offered to help us while my kid was taking a while to decide what pastry she wanted. They were all friendly and warm and all said something like “ok well when you’re ready just let me know I’ll be right here”. We ordered our hoagies through the kiosk but I (flustered by a long road trip to visit nearby Rowan University for their open house for my oldest to explore) made a few mistakes when ordering. The gentleman behind the counter was super friendly and was happy to help me add the things I forgot to add to our hoagies so they would be right (we got a giant hoagie and they were happy to cut it into smaller hoagies for us to share) plus my husband got his own separate hoagie. We came because we are from Philly and love Liscio’s rolls for our cheesesteaks so we felt we had to no choice but to come to a whole liscio’s bakery and deli. The sandwiches were delicious and the bread was so soft and fresh. The only reason I gave the food a 4 was because even though it was great, I would have liked to see more variety of lunch meats like Boar’s Head offers, I’m partial to honey maple Turkey which wasn’t offered but the Thumann’s was still tasty and fresh. If my son chooses to attend Rowan for college they won’t be able to keep me out of here. Oh and my daughter ended up saying that her brownie that she was skeptical about because it had frosting and sprinkles on it was...

Take my advice, this shouldn't be this difficult. I called in a breakfast sandwich in advance. You tell to give you 10 minutes. I walk in, there's 4 different stations to order from. I stand in the deli line where it says "order grill sandwiches here". No one looks at me because they're making sandwiches that people order there. I stand in another line where the slices of pizza are. The girl calls on me and tells me to go to the other line where I pay. So I do that, like a dope. The girl handing out donuts tells me to go to the deli. I, not so politely, tell her they made me come here. I walk back to the other girl who told me to "pay over there" and ask her for my sandwich, that I ordered 20 minutes ago. She had no clue what to do so she tries to hand me a sandwich that's been sitting under the lamp for hours. They told me to wait over here it'll be right up.... Which I am still doing... Waiting as I write this novel. Maybe you'll read it before my sandwich comes out. This is impossible. And there's more people working than there are customers. Maybe I should have ordered lunch at...

Went on opening day. Cookies are amazing, but like $19/lb. I bought 2 lbs assorted and they were all delicious. I especially liked the pignoli cookies, the texture was slightly chewy, just fantastic. Also bought a turkey diablo hoagie, which was huge. Loaded with meat and cheese and very tasty. Hoagie was on seeded hoagie roll. You can't beat Licio's rolls. I will definitely be a regular customer. I feel like the bakery items are priced high, but it's higher quality than the grocery store bakery. The deli pricing...
