Today is Monday Oct 14. I literally am writing this 20 minutes after receiving my food @ 12:50. My negative review doesn’t have to do with the foods quality but off the service. All we ordered was two breakfast sandwiches, apple juice and “suped up” coffee..😒 I never write reviews negative..it takes a lot away from a good day for everyone and I have more patience than others for certain things. This was just not okay though. While ordering my ice coffee I got told, “that’s a lot of flavors buddy” ..we ignored it but then when we got to the counter it was the impersonal and lack of sincere customer service that followed on top of that comment. The lady at the drive through again made a poor service and unprofessional criticism, “here’s your suped up coffee”, then proceeded to with an entitled and expectant tone..”would you like to leave a tip”, NO! We left a 1$ tip just because we like to tip service we go out for. But she did not deserve that one dollar even and if she was by herself I would absolutely not have given it. I shouldn’t have such a judgmental service experience at any restaurant. It’s food and as we all acknowledge, it’s personal. What does my preferences and why was it so imperative to let those comments and tone slip out of your mouth? It’s greatly unappreciated and rude and if we were other kinds of people she would have got a mouthful but we try to exercise forgiveness immediately and understanding. She was just so unpleasant and rushing on top of all that I had to make u-turn in the rd of the main st Glastonbury which is chaos to even get back round into the drivethru, for it is not a big parking but separated parking and get a single apple juice. Please be more thoughtful and considerate about the way you talk to people in a service position. Especially the drivethru. I know it an be stressful but we didn’t deserve your rude/sassy comments for our foods and or want nor warrant your 1 cent; and no one behind us and we were pretty swift about our order. The audacity. Note to customers and people in general do not “people please”, even in these situations. If I was driving I would not have tipped. Don’t let people disrespect you and get away with it. This is my “payback”. Mature and decent. I don’t seek revenge and so that’s not what I’m promoting and at the same time be confrontational when it matters. Read moreWent to drive thru. Bagels are delicious - when they have what you want. At 10 am last Saturday we made a special trip that takes over a half hour to get there. Specifically to get their salted bagels. They were out of them. 10 am on a Saturday! Had to select other types. Made a special effort to get up early today - Sunday - and got there at 8 am. Wanted 6 salted bagels. They only had 3. They open at 6am and were out again?? Once again, had to settle for another type. Got a bagel bundle including 2 cream cheese. Got home and guess what? No cream cheese in the bag. Called and the associate could not refund me for the cream cheese unless she physically sees the card I used for the purchase. So I would have to drive over an hour round trip to get a refund. She was also too busy to take my name and number for the manager who is off today. So I have to call back when she is not busy. Very poor management and very poor planning on their part. Hopefully I can get my money back for the cream cheese. Needless to say we will not be going back. Read moreFirst off, I love the bagels here but everytime I go in there is this woman manager who does the bagels that is disgustingly rude. I have been in and mad more then 5 encounters with her and she will yell at you (the customer) and even scream at her staff and huff and puff right in front of everyone. I always let it slide and thought man, maybe she is having a really bad day but I recently went in and ordered a couple breuggers boxes for my kids teachers and they literally threw the bagels and sandwiches in there. When I opened it up I was just shocked and I said this looks nothing like the picture. She then huffed and puffed and said well if you want it like that it’s a special request so then requested it and she cut all the sandwiches and bagels and then rewrapped it all so pretty much it still looked like a pile of breakfast bagels thrown in a box.
