NOT KID FRIENDLY I came here a few weeks ago with my almost 3 year old. We walked in as he loves animals and wanted to " see kitty cats". That day the cats were "resting", Apparently they only have visiting hours a few days a week. That was fine, we watched the cats for awhile through a window and my son was SOO excited. I was told come back on a Friday and book an appointment online and you can go in and pet the cats. So, I tell my son, we can't pet cats today but let's make an appointment for next week! He was so excited and we make an appointment for the next Friday. Everyday that week he asks me " Can I pet kitty cats today?!" He waits patiently for Friday to come. Finally it's Friday and we head off to the cat cafe! He's so excited!
We check in at the desk and the owner comes out. She asks me if he is 6 years old, which obviously he isn't. She says " yeah he can't go in there, we don't allow kids under 6." I'm like " what? we were just here last week and you told me to come back" She says " oh yeah we changed our policy last week, you should have read our website, he can't go in" She says they have had " issues" . So now my sweet little boy looks at me and I have to tell him he " can't pet kitty cats because they don't allow kids" It's absolutely ridiculous. We sat there at watched while 8 adults went in to pet cats and he didn't understand why we weren't allowed to. What harm could a well behaved 3 year old cause with 8 other adults in there? I found the owner to be rude, and completely not understanding of the innocent request of a child. Change the rule, make sure parents watch their kids, do something else besides ban children. I will never come back here. Bring your kids to the cat cafe in New Haven and...
Read moreWonderful cat cafe âŠ. Lumi is my favorite cat, a bit spicy , but itâs a cat being a cat , enjoyed doing high 5âs ⊠for anyone visiting if lumi swats itâs a cat slap or a paw - no nails , and the nibbbles are bites - I spent almost My whole time with her , and she walk away when she is done playing - didnât have a scratch on me
For anyone that buys tickets and complains they cant bring their small children - itâs clearly listed when booking about the requirements , anyone that thinks bringing a small child to a cat cafe is likely not thinking in their right mind anyway ⊠anyone that complains the cats were asleep - equally insane - cats sleep , a lot âŠ. Be realistic , the cats arenât there for you âŠ.on top of that there are days carved out for story time with the cats to accommodate small children
All the cats were wonderful, and itâs extremely clean , the staff is very polite and engaging
Also for anyone that canât figure out you need to book one ticket per person - cmon - of course you do - the business is caring enough to make sure the room isnât packed with people and the cats arenât overwhelmed
Quite frankly I give them a 10/10 all around , they also use local artists and local businesses for the snacks , coffee and shelf items
Will...
Read moreIâve been to Marcieâs Angels Cat Cafe twice now, and both times have been so wonderful.
Itâs clear that a great deal of planning and forethought went into the planning of this cat cafe - every detail, rule, policy, etc. has been carefully crafted to ensure everyone (especially the resident cats!) has a happy and memorable time, and hopefully is moved to adopted one of the cats.
The room in which you can visit with the cats is calming and perfectly suited to allow the cats to come out of their shell and play. Of course, they are cats, so they can sleep up to 18 hours a day - but there were so many cats that were up and ready to meet new people.
One should not visit this cafe with the expectation that every cat is going to be rambunctious; then jump in your lap and fall asleep. However, the cafe is perfectly suited to visit with the cats as you would at home - petting them softly in a comfortable environment while they purr and love every minute of it (again, not true of every cat - theyâre animals - but for the vast majority of the cats there this applies).
Our 50 mins with the cats seemed to fly by, and after a tasty coffee and cupcake we spent the entire drive home talking about what a great time we had at the cat cafe and how we canât...
