I usually reserve my Google Reviews to local establishments because while the 'Golden Arches' are franchised, my take is that's just fast food.
Well, I'm giving feedback because it wasn't just that today, it was a master class in customer service etiquette and approach. The teacher of that class... Joao. Yep, that's him. He's so affable, humble and pleasant that he'll be running & soon owning his own McD. (Not kidding)
So, we pull into the drive-thru for breakfast but it's too late (we knew it all along, though; unfortunately, all-day breakfast didn't last 🥺). After proceeding to begin our order, something happened... the dreaded "what did you say, 'Charlie Brown's teacher voice' drive-thru speaker....that's what happened.
All of this to say... we were super hungry, the kids were destroyed because we had to get up early for a funeral (having gone to bed late the night before), and I was 'hangry.' 👀😐
So, I began to get agitated at Joao not being able to hear my order because it was the speaker or I was getting frustrated (yes), talking too fast (yes) and not speaking clearly (or all of the above, check).
What happened next was a young man (who must have been raised by excellent Portuguese parents... facts!) who calmly excused my frustration by humbling himself and smoothing over the miscommunication error (my fault; talking too fast & 'hangry').
My expectation in any other drive-thru, would have been attitude, back-talk and disrespect. Instead, on a day of mourning & more importantly, hope in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, this fine young gentleman, Joao, was fantastic and caring. So much so, that my kids, who rarely point these things out, were so refreshed by his attitude, they commented on it. I'm usually the one complaining about not being properly adored by the drive-thru attendant with them telling me to back off. Instead, Joao was amazing and made enjoying our early McDonald's lunch all the more tasty!
Dare I say this... but I highly recommend this McD & drive-thru, Joao, his expediting counterpart and his manager. Great job, team! We'll hit you up the next...
Read moreI came here with my two cousins Shmidley and Vishnu they brought their sons baby Rashmi and Anderdingus. Shmidley and Anderdingus split the heart attack 200 piece McNugget box and Vishnu got baby Rashmi a happy meal. After we finished Shmidley, Anderdingus and baby Rashmi went into the playscape; Vishnu tried to warn Shmidley that some parents wouldn’t be comfortable with 450 pound fat man with a red Afro going in a playscape with a bunch of kids, but he didn’t care. Shmidley and Anderdingus followed baby Rashmi up the ladder. Now this wasn’t the newest McDonalds in town so you could tell this jungle gym was on its last leg and the 600 pound combined wheight of Shmidley and his son wasn’t helping the old thing. Everyone in a five mile radius could hear that thing creek when Shmidley stepped on that ladder. They were all playing around in there until baby Rashmi threw his poopski filled diaper at Anderdingus’ forehead. He screamed and fell back into the slide. But those slides aren’t built for overweight 9 year olds so Anderdingus was wedged In the slide a Rashmi diaper stuck to his face, Shmidley tried to get him out by throwing himself down the slide only to get held back by his blubber and stuck with his budonkeydonk sticking out the front end of the slide. The baby Ruth’s in his pockets melted and brown streaks and sour cream covered the slide.
Employees refused to enter the play area because of the smell had to get a bulldozer to get shmidley unstuck
2/5 Heart attack meal was good but play...

I only order frappes now, no food, because order is usually incorrect. Even with simply ordering drinks I've had to pull forward and wait to have them brought out UP TO TEN MINS! One point I called the restaurant cause I thought they forgot about me, and they did! Within 30 secs my frappe was brought to my car with an apology. 9 out of 10 they've been out of frappes at night, or machine is down. Says 24 hrs, but don't come between 2:30 and 4 am cause you'll just sit at drive thru saying "hello?" with no reply. It's awful! You'll see employees walking around, even outside, but no one will tell you if open or not? Seriously McDonald's, it's not that hard! And if item isn't available in your particular location UPDATE THE APP TO SAY SO! I use mobile ordering and am always being told when giving my order code at drive thru that something, usually frappes, aren't available at that time. What a downfall for what was a very nice location a few years ago.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: The nicest McDonald's I've been to yet. Very clean, and always nice people (staff AND customers) And the biggest plus is there is a great play area for the kids, with a double level indoor playground and a cool table that lights up as you touch it. My little one has always loved coming here. There is also a separate children's bathroom in the play area,...
