Robert, the heart and soul for Barro's Pizza in Phoenix, was just finishing his shift when disaster struck. A massive power outage hit the city, leaving thousands without food options. The local grocery stores were closed, and fast food chains couldn't operate.
In a stroke of genius, Robert remembered a pile of pizza orders waiting in the oven at the Barro’s kitchen. Instead of heading home, he decided to take the extra pizzas, loaded them into his car, and drove through the darkened streets, knocking on doors and delivering hot meals to anyone he could find.
People were beyond grateful, their hungry bellies finally satisfied. By the time the lights flickered back on, Robert had delivered over 50 pizzas, saving the day and ensuring no one in his neighborhood had to go to bed hungry.
The next morning, word spread across town about the pizza hero, and Barro’s received more calls than ever. Robert may have been just a delivery guy, but that night, he became Phoenix’s savior...
Read moreSo, unfortunately after getting delivery from Barro's for years just about once a week they have outsourced delivery to a third party company. DoorDash I think the person on the phone said. I am NOT gonna pay premiums for a third party company so I am NO LONGER a patron of Barro's. The food has always been great but the best part was being able to get it delivered as it's difficult for me to leave the house. When I lived in Cave Creek I used to go to that Barro's, When I moved to Glendale the restaurant was on 51st and Union Hills then it moved to 51st and Bell. All the while my family and myself have been LOVING their food. 30 plus years. Man I'm sick of DoorDash, Uber Eats and all the rest of them. I am NOT gonna pay extra to these companies. Barro's delivery drivers I would be more than happy to pay for and have been for YEARS. Such an absolute shame. Now if I want delivery I can't call the restaurant or use the Barro's website?...

We asked them if they reserved that table because there is a “reserved” sign on it and they said that one of the employees told them they can sit there. She treats every student like they’re a piece of trash. That’s not fair to us because we’re literally...
