Went to Carrabas to celebrate my fiancĂ©s birthday with the family and experienced one of the worst dining experiences ever. We waited for about 30 minutes before being seated (not too bad) and when we were seated we were placed next to a large family where the little boy kept pushing out his chair into the aisle. We asked are hostess for a sling to put the babiesâ carrier in. She politely brought us one and left. When my father in-law placed the carrier into the sling the carrier almost fell through the bottom because the fabric ripped from both sides (I have pictures), luckily I was holding our three month old baby in my hands when this happened or she would have went through to the floor. When we asked for the manager(Patrick Sanders) he came to our table and had the nerve to argue with my fiancĂ© and say it was not their intention to bring a defective sling to us and not to overreact (overreact if my three month old fell through to the floor it would have been very serious) We asked for a new sling and a new table, Patrick then moved us a few tables down and asked if we would like an appetizer only because my father in-law said something which we excepted. He then told us he would be back to check on us to make sure our experience got better. We had to ask our waitress for plates and silverware then ask several times for sugar for our tea, and for our old plates to be removed from the table so that we would have enough room for our meal, we also had to ask several time for our drinks to be refilled, in the end we were never even asked if we wanted any desert. We witnessed the busboy spill a drink on the table next to us then not clean it up very well. We know this because the customers that were placed there complained. I witnessed an elderly lady slip on some ice that was in the middle of the floor from the same spill. Then when we were finished with our food they had the nerve to try and charge us for the appetizer. We were there for over an hour and the whole time we saw the manager race by our table three times but he never once stopped to ask us if we needed anything else which he said he would. WE WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. I will be posting this on YELP and Google reviews for everyone to read. I really hope someone from Corporate contacts me because I would really like to show them pictures that I took. If my three month old would have fallen through that sling the manager would have a lot more to...
Read moreI used to rave about Carrabba's, easily my favorite restaurant...in the past. Not anymore though. We went to this Carrabba's on Sunday and we had a large group of people, 19. It was great that they had a call ahead option because the wait wasn't long at all. We had two waiters, which was great, they took our drink order and we insisted they separate our checks from the beginning but one of the waiters told us that no, it wasn't a good idea because it would be easier to split everything afterwards. Okay, great, we let him do what he wanted. We got our warm bread, no offers for refills, definitely not enough for 19 people. We had our order taken and when we got our food, my daughter was missing her food. Well, our waiter was nowhere to be found so when I finally found him about 5 minutes after everyone got their food (no one checked on us after we got the food) I let him know that my daughter was missing her food and his response was 'Oh. The kitchen must have messed up.' He should've checked to make sure everyone got what they ordered, not blame it on someone else. My brother in law then found a plastic tag in his soup, gross. The waiter on our side of the table never came back to check on us, only the one for the other side, so he was doing all the work for the whole group. I felt bad for the guy. At the end of the night, we got our checks after specifically letting him know who was on what check...It took thirty minutes. We had 5 separate checks, each one was wrong. We ALL had items on our tab, that we never ordered. My husband insisted on paying for the extra item on ours even though we never ordered or received it. I told him that I was not paying for something I didn't order and didn't get, and sat there wondering how many people pay for their tab without looking at their check or dismiss it because the extra item was under $5. Our waiter never came back and the other waiter did the rest of the work. The night manager never once tried to help, we watched him just sit at the bar not doing anything even though the waiter needed help. After I loved this place so much all these years, I can say that I'll probably never be back here, at least not at this location. And I will no longer be recommending this place to anyone. You know how long it took for us to leave after we got our check? Over an hour!...
Read moreMy friend and i made it in time with 30-35 minutes til closing time (which i dont usually do or like to do to restaraunts close to closing time) however i had specifcally been wanting Carrabba's and even more so because i've been bragging to room mate about how tasty it is. In my opinion its way better than the 'Olive- anyhow since we were on our way back from the mall, one happened to be en route of our way home. Although it was about 40mins til closing for them, that being said we pulled in quickly and wasted no time ordering. I was worried the waiter was going to be bummed out, but surely he was all smiles and reciprocated the mutual respect and server etiquette kindly. My friend was a bit needy but i would assure our server he'd be greatly taken care of in return lol. I ALWAYS get the Steak Marsala (w/ the Filet option) Med.Well, and for sides the Mama Mandolis Chicken Soup, as well as the mashed potatoes with shreds of the red peel mixed in. The bread with oil & herbs came out almost immediately after our drinks and the server kept it coming with a second basket almost instinctly like lol. I like those kinda gestures by waiters/waitress' extra very much btwđœđđ·đ bonus points for that guy haha! Anyways the plates came out and mine was entirely under cooked, but they got it fixed with a new scoop of taters also. And my friend got the shrimp alfredo, pleasantly surprised by the healthy well portioned shrimp my roomie was! Over all, we were given our boxes with a helpful bag as well as to go cups with fresh drinks. Tipped the man acceptionally well and went home veddddy happy. Thanks Carrabbas for the awesome eats always, and especially for great service- so close to...
