I would like to share an experience I had today in a newly opened chipotle in my neighborhood, which unfortunately left me feeling disappointed and disgusted.
During a virtual lunch date with my daughter, we both were trying to enjoy the delicious chipotle chicken and rice bowls.
One of the employees decided to sweep around me and other guests. Initially, it was a minor annoyance, but then the employee proceeded to sweep in my direction, coming within a distance of about 2 feet. I was taken aback, especially since he had already swept under the table I was eating from.
I politely asked the employee to pause or stop and reminded him of the rude choice and behavior. He apologized and stopped after finishing his task. However, I sensed it was foreign for him to not sweep 1-2 feet from a diner while eating...
Not to my surprise, he returned as I was wrapping up and taking my leftover food to go. He pulled out the garbage and grabbed the broom and dustpan again…, even though another guest was 4 feet away with her back turned.
At the time, I wasn't in the right frame of mind to address the issue with a manager. It was for sure in my heart. Instead, I hope that sharing this review will bring attention to the incident and prompt positive changes for future diners and current and future employees.
I must mention that aside from this incident, the food servers at the restaurant was great. Nevertheless, the unpleasant experience has already left its mark.
Tip: When it comes to cleaning near someone who is dining at a restaurant, it is generally best to maintain a reasonable distance to respect their privacy and dining experience. While there is no specific measurement, a good guideline is to avoid cleaning within arm's reach or directly beside the table where the diners are seated. This allows them to enjoy their meal without feeling intruded upon or disrupted by the cleaning activities. It's important for restaurant staff to be considerate and find a balance between maintaining cleanliness and not disturbing...
Read moreDon't bother going here. The staff are poorly trained and the food itself is mediocre by Chipotle standards. The seating is also poorly set up and there is almost no space to sit down. However, the main reason I am saying don't go here is their consistency. They had a drive through window for a while and then randomly it was down for repairs with zero explanation. They initially had two separate pickup areas for food, which caused confusion when I picked my own food up. Pickups themselves became a problem for me recently. They accepted them, then all of a sudden they don't, which caused me issues. My Chipotle order on Uber eats got diverted to a location miles away without my knowledge. I can amdit that I didn't think to double check the location, but why would I think their deliveries would be down? I walked in and noticed they still had the shelves for deliveries, but no orders on them before I asked about my order and was told they don't have pickup orders. This was a final straw in a large list of issues I already had with this location. Regardless of that, the main issue here is that the food I wanted is online order exclusive for some reason, so even if I ordered in-house, I would have been screwed either way. Chipotle in general is having issues right now, and this location is showing exactly why. I will be spending my money at other Mexican style restaurants in the area instead. I recommend Qdoba and BelAir if anyone wants a decent...
Read moreThe first time I went to this location during the day shift, it was decent. I went last night before 7, & it was a different vibe. It seemed they gave others a decent amount of meat but when it came to me it was skimpy. I asked for a bit more & it was probably 3 more pieces of chicken added. What was that about? I don’t know what the broads on the line problem was.
The place was also unkept by the drinks. There was no forks to eat a bowl with. I was so discombobulated with the line & being rung up, I didn’t even get extras. I also wasn’t greeted. She walked to the beginning of the line & stood in front of me staring so I said I wanted a bowl to go, THEN she decided to start refilling & switching things up, which she also did to a man before, but the amount of meat he got I guess that was the compensation, unlike me. Im gonna just stick to day shift or go to the Ogden location....
