I would not recommend this place if you’re looking for a place to meet up with someone or to study. My friend and I have been loyal Daily Drip customers for a while. We constantly find ourselves studying there or meeting to talk at the shop. Unfortunately our love and appreciation for the small business changed today after we had an incident with management.
I had brought a nutrition shake into the coffee shop to meet a friend and talk about our classes. The manager asked me to throw away the drink to which I had no problem doing. I simply agreed and did so even though he seemed upset by it and pointed to the table sign a bit aggressively using the end of a duster.
About a half an hour later, the same manager asked us to find somewhere else to go. Knowing there is a time limit on the tables due to COVID-19, my friend kindly asked “would you like us to find a different table?” And the manager turned around and said a bit loudly “No. another coffee shop.” Customers watched as we had to leave the building.
I understand the outside food and drink policy, but the coffee shop had about 4 other customers inside, we did it understand why we couldn’t have used the tables inside to meet. We weren’t holding up a line of people waiting for a spot and if had just asked us nicely to purchase a drink, we would have done it in a heartbeat.
I am still upset by this event. I have never been kicked out of anywhere before or have caused any trouble. I do not recommend this coffee shop at all. Please support any other...
Read moreI usually love this place. However, we held a business class here in their large private room and I must say I was disappointed. When we arrived there were boxes in the middle of the private room (That we have reserved for a month now) along with decorations all across the back table. They told us we could bring in our own food, I asked twice, and then the owner was upset with us and said no, we weren't. We proceeded with class and per the baristas we could open a tab and have our attendees order and put that onto their tab. Typically, you get a number assigned to your order. Well, each of our 19 attendees ordered drinks and about half were not given a number. That meant we had to figure out who's drinks were who's in the middle of the class. To make it worse at the end we were done just talking with the instructor and went to check out. They charged us for an additional 30 minutes. No one came and talked with us or even checked to see if the class was done. Which is was. everyone had left. To charge us for 2 people is ridiculous and rude. We brought in customers and paid for the room for 3 hours! We won't be holding anymore classes at this place. I would NOT recommend them for private use of that large room. They need to get their system in order and be more accommodating with better communication and a set up for groups. If you want a nice place to stop in or work at alone this place is great for that. They offer plenty of seating with outlets and delicious...
Read moreI'm really really disappointed. I recently found a new drink there, the Espresso Shaker, and I loved it. Before I ordered it the first time, I asked the cashier "Is there any milk or sugar in this?" , because I have to restrict my sugar intake. "No, just cold brew, espresso and ice". So I ordered it and drank it.
I went back a few more times, and each time I ordered, I verified with the cashier that it indeed had no sugar or milk in it, and they assured me it didn't.
I tried to replicate the same drink elsewhere and at home, but it didn't seem to work. So today when I went to get one I asked the cashier again what was in it, and here's that conversation:
"Hey, what's in the Espresso Shaker, is it really just espresso, cold brew, and ice?"
"It's espresso, cold brew, ice, and espresso powder."
"Espresso powder, hmm. Does this espresso powder have sugar in it?"
"I think so, let me check" walks over to where it is and looks at the label then comes back "It does, it has 24 grams per serving and we don't use a whole serving per drink so it's probably 15-20 grams".
My jaw dropped and I left without getting anything.
This is really unacceptable. I'm not supposed to have sugar and for someone like me, 15 grams of sugar is a lot.
Please train your baristas better on ingredients so this doesn't happen to anyone else. They should know what's...
