Let me borrow your ear for a second. So we’re in the area, craving some good ol street tacos, but also craving some adventure. So we were set for Oscar’s. We walk in and instantly greeted by clean wood floorings with no dirt or crumbs as far as the eye can see. We are greeted by the counter girl who I will say, had enough patience to put up with every crying baby in America. As the thoughts of the menu pondered in my mind, What seemed like a life time, I decided to go with a carne asada taco. What seemed as if the next moment, they were up and ready to devour. Now let’s talk about what DOESN’T get enough attention. The LIME. These lines, my golly have been on my mind up until this moment. So finely sliced, so glistening in the light with their sweet nectar juices. Let this picture of my fiancée just summarize the experience. As I dressed my taco with a SINGLE lime that had more then enough juice by itself, it was go time. When you first pull in the taco, be prepared for the blast of corn tortilla fumes to caress and penetrate your nostrils. Man o man, what a ride that was. Non the less, this taco didn’t stand a chance. The juicy asada greets your palette with a warm, dark flavor straight from the heart of our southern motherland. The pico de Gallo? Forget about it! Loved it all. Overall review, do yourself a favor, get your taco cravings fixated with this...
Read moreTried this place for the first time last night. Upon entering the restaurant was clean and smelled of good food. I ordered the 5 rolled tacos and one fish taco. The rolled tacos were tasty amd had guacamole and cheese on top. The guacamole was good and consisted of avacados, I say tis because a lot of places have more tomatoe and onion in their guacamole than avacado which is horrible in my openion.. My rolled tacos tasted great and had a good bit of meat in them and they were not greasy at all.
The fish taco, I only ordered kne because the last few I have ordered were not that great. Oscar's fish tacos had good flavor and again were not greasy at all. The fish on its own was well cooked amd had good flavor. The taco had some red and green cabbage it but not too much and a very good baha sauce. I would go back there for the fish tacos alone and will be going back for more.
The service was also good the guy working the counter was friendly and polite amd my food did not take very lkng to prepare amd as stated above was fresh...
Read moreI should've known, as soon as I seen the picture of their crunchy tacos posted on the front entrance door, that it wasn't going to be that good (I thought of Taco Bell). My family and I were driving by and decided to give this place a try and they had 4.2 stars, so why not. Well, we were quickly brought to disappointment. I ordered a #9-Any burrito with rice and beans and a drink, I got the carne asada burrito. When we received our food, I found it odd that the rice was a yellow-ish color and had corn and sliced carrots...whatever, my son is getting his veggies in as well, I thought. The refried beans were bland and my burrito was ok, so ill give them that. The green and red sauce weren't that good or hot, it was more of just adding more flavor. I will not be coming back and you're better off ordering from Filberto's in all honesty. I think they got 4.2 stars from tourist who have never had true authentic Mexican food so don't waste...
