Didn't have a great experience here. The main problem and the reason behind the rating is the service. I was in a party of 3, including myself, and there was several issues we could all agree upon. For starters, I will elaborate how they do not know how to make frozen margaritas. I ordered their prickly pear margarita, as seen in picture, and it had large ice cubes in it. Everytime I tried to drink it, an ice chunk would get stuck on the bottom. They did a good job with being out and about, making sure they did their rounds frequently, but they failed at doing that job successfully after I asked him to reblend it and it coming back to me still with huge ice chunks in it and me still struggling to drink it which obviously was not a pleasant experience especially when you're trying to enjoy an alcoholic concoction. And who doesn't like doing that when consuming Mexican food. The other bad highlight is when we received the chips and salsa as the starter, most of the chips in the basket were cracked. I think we all tried to make the best of things but it's hard to have a good time when you notice not one but two major things are wrong and it just simply isn't acceptable when I'm sure all customers of any restaurant go there to spend good money so they can have an enjoyable and friendly experience either by themselves as a different experience or with friends and family as a way to bond and spend time together in a venue, sharing food and stories amongst each other. In addition, just to explain more of the stars behind this rating, this restaurant just doesn't really stand out that much but I still gave it 4 stars for atmosphere just because it's still a nice place and I think has some cool vibes to it but maybe it's just not everything it appears to be or what it could be. I gave 3 stars for the food because the flavors aren't that flavorful. The food doesn't stand out very much. I would come here more for very casual experiences but I wouldn't come here again with a family and friends occasion where I want to make a good memory. Even for a very casual occasion, this would be a last resort which isn't very good at all. I understand they're in a big city but it still shouldn't be an excuse to slack on their jobs and waste their customers' time and money, both being equally important. Please, please, please, make a change!! Your customers will be very grateful for something new and different in a good way. I hope this review was helpful to anybody that...
Read morePopo's Fiesta Del Sol isn't just a restaurant, it's a fiesta for your senses! From the moment I stepped in, the warm, vibrant atmosphere had me grinning. But let's talk about the real stars of the show: the food and service.
First things first, chips and salsa. This is where many Mexican restaurants stumble, but Popo's absolutely nails it. The chips were warm, light, and perfectly crisp, begging to be dipped into the salsa symphony. My taste buds were dancing!
The service was just as fantastic as the food. Our server, was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. She answered our questions with a smile and made excellent recommendations, ensuring we had an enjoyable and memorable experience.
The food itself was, of course, the main event. We tried a variety of dishes, and each one was bursting with flavor and cooked to perfection. The portions were generous, and the ingredients were fresh and high-quality.
Overall, Popo's Fiesta Del Sol exceeded my expectations on every level. The chips and salsa were a perfect appetizer, the service was top-notch, and the food was absolutely delicious. If you're looking for a fun, festive, and flavorful Mexican dining experience, look no further...
Read moreWe came here a few days ago for my early b'day lunch with my mom. We arrived before my mom and got us seat. The chips where stale/old, your salsa was good though that's about it. Our waiter Louis was very rushy, rushy and acted like we where an inconvenience being there. My mom finally arrived and couldn't enough time to relax and sit down and really go over the menu to see what she wanted due to our waiter being a little pushy. I had there so called Mexican pizza as you can tell by the picture how sad it looks with no lettuce or sour cream to top it off all their offer is tomatoes on top. My husband got their version of a burrito I have had at other places but the only difference is they WILL NOT LET YOU SUBSTITUTE THE CHICKEN FOR BEEF! When it didn't even say no substitution in that section of the menu and our waiter was pretty rude about. My liked her food. Their chocolate cream filled chimi's are good but their serving size of the ice cream was ridiculous and they filled the tortilla bowl with whip cream. We will not be going back to either location!!! Don't recommend going here for Mexican food or any food for...
